As someone that was absolutely devastated by Katrina, an event that made me break down into tears one of the very few times in my adult life, this event isn't on the same planet as to the potential effect on a shithole hundreds of miles away on the weak side of a storm. There are reasons that go beyond safety and UF used it to their advantage. If anyone should be ashamed, it is UF because they purport that jorts don't float.

Ok, a few things here.....
First off, I lived in central Florida for 11 years and went through 3 cat 3 hurricanes in 6 weeks, so I resent your implications that "no one" is thinking about those residents in Florida. I was one of them and I still have close friends that are in the middle of all of that as I'm typing this.
Second, to answer your question about the "would we have been focused on a game during Katrina" thing, we actually moved a game after Katrina to Tempe when we played Arizona State and in the same season, pushed a game with Tennessee to Monday night after Rita beat up on my home town.
People are pissed because UF could've canceled or postponed the game two days ago but they drug their feet and forced the SEC office's hand when the storm was literally parked offshore. Furthermore, LSU made every attempt to get this game to happen, provided accommodations for UF, a charter flight for UF, other sites, all were shot down by UF, Foley to be specific.
I, for one, take offense to your insinuation that no one is thinking of the residents of the state of Florida and that no other options were presented.
Get bent.

How do you do anything in your life? People are literally dying everyday you're alive.

If you or your son is on the team...would you rather play a game or help family or those without help prepare for disaster? If you cant see how misguided you are then you never will.
Since you asked me, i would tell him to play the game so the people of his city/state can have something to cheer for. Then, when it's over, we can help with disaster clean up as needed. Saturday isn't the only day to help you moron.

Easy. I watched LSU vs Oregon in 2011 via generator thanks to Tropical Storm Lee.

We both have injuries galore. You think Florida scared now, they will definitely be scared when Leonard Fournette is healthy. A weak team that's a beat team.

My house is getting destroyed as I type this and I'm furious that UF backed out of this game. It was a cowardly thing to do. They should have agreed early in the week to move the game to LSU or to a neutral location of their choice.
This wasn't rocket science.

You A) go to the game IF IT WAS PLAYED! or B) you have evacuated and are with family somewhere else, moron. Do you think all those people are just going to sit in the middle of a hurricane with their dicks in their hands???
There's a state of emergency there. People are evacuating, if possible. Of course some people are gonna get stuck and have to tough it out (I truly hope they are safe if still in town), but hopefully most were able to board up and go before the storm hit...SINCE WE KNEW ABOUT IT ALL frickING WEEK! Good god, are you really this dumb?

Some how the UCF soccer team is holding it together in the Memphis airport.

Sorry to hear that. Were you able to evacuate, at least?

I dont care that you take offense...for one. Two, if you were so concerned about your friends and family stuck down there you would have been upset the plane and field that we offered up wasnt offered for the purpose of evacuating many. Again, your thought process isnt on LSU using resources to help people its on resources used for a game...and to that I take offense!
