Over the last week, I've read two articles about Saban and Stoops. The articles talked about how both guys made changes... re-tooled their offense to implement some spread and both are in the playoffs. Stoops hired a new OC and Saban brought Kiffin in. Kiffin even went to talk with Herman at Houston, I think, to talk with him some offensive wrinkles.

This is what Miles absolutely NEEDS to do. Saban and Stoops saw the need to make changes... They did and they are playing for it all. Oh how I hope Miles does the same.

Ain't gonna happen. We will continue to run over the Texas Tech's of the world and struggle in November when we play the big boys.

Im sure he will do it and maybe even take notes. Then he will take those notes, make awesome paper airplanes out of them, throw them around his office and make Alleva clean up his mess.

We should just hire Herman, and be done with it.

I'd prefer that Alleva talk to Herman.

Meh, Bama's changes are mostly cosmetic. A little more hurry up, but they still run between the tackles, and love them some crossing routes.

Is it really paying off for Saban?

I don't think LSU needs the spread offense. If you look at Bama and MSU they generally play power football with a good defense, a good running game, and a NFL caliber QB with WRs who are playmakers.

If LSU can get QB like Cook we'll be okay. Those QBs can be found and developed. Heck Dantonio recruited Cousins and Cook and they were not 4 star QBs.

LSU's offense was better statistically than Alabama's in most categories this season.

What makes you snow flakes think that Miles does not talk to other coaches? Just because the Advocate doesn't make a big deal of it doesn't mean it doesn't happen. All of these guys are constantly in contact with each other. They know each other, many have worked together. Friendships are formed. They exchange ideas all of the time. They make adjustments that they think will work within their current schemes and personnel.
Just because YOU, sitting in your barcolounger sipping on your Natty Lite can't tell doesn't mean it hasn't happened.

Miles doesn't need to change, He's a nice guy. He will everyone excited when he has an undefeated or 1 loss team when Novemeber rolls around and then regenerate the excitement when LSU wins the Belk Bowl.

Seriously I wish he would but think he's too stubborn.

Actually, I'm thinking he knows tired overused feeble attempts at sarcasm.

You're a little touchy today, forgot to take your lithium pill?

Miles has changed quite a bit all along. I think he has become more conservative over time to the point where he is predictable. He needs to be less predictable and he will be more successful. It is not that he does not have the athletes.
