don't be dumb.

Miles has been walking on water for 3 years now. Its time he get dealt some adversity in the way of a meltdown loss at home to a I-AA team.

How about a middle ground between clapping and hurling obscenities while disparaging the players and coaches

I am dreading sitting in the stadium and hearing the dickheads around me moaning like whores everytime Edwards scrambles for positive yardage.
I'm pretty sure all those came from you.

Immediately after you say that ALL LSU fans are great and that there were NO "miles haters" pre SECCG. Gimme a break.

If you hate the game atmosphere and the fans your around either change your seats or watch from home, and stop bitching.

because you were asking for specific instances where I heard a fan/s spew garbage about the players or coaches. The only people I implicated were those around me that are guilty of it.
You seem to have no point, so how about that Armanti Edwards?

The point is you are bitching about something but you are not changing it...like I said change your seats or stay home.
Youre right Edwards is a good QB. Will he "shred" LSUs D, NO I really dont think so. He hasn't seen a quality, SEC class D, and the only Prime-time game he has played in was vs a so-so Mich. team.

Is LSU's D going to be better against scrambling QBs this year with new LBs, CBs and 2 new DCs?
Posted on 5/13/08 at 10:47 pm to aibo synthetic
Again, you are referring to a scrabling QB that is good in D1AA ball, with an O-line that plays in D1AA. LSUs Dbs are not gonna be a problem, they are very athletic, most of them got play time last season, LB may be a problem, and the Co-DCs have both been at LSU for a while, theyare by no means "new"

I am afraid. I was watching some clips of last year and LSU struggled mightily at times against really mobile QBs. With new LBs and corners, I look for Edwards to rip off chunks of yardage around the edge and make the LSU D look bad. I don't think they score much, but the John Q. Drunk is going to be cursing the defense quite a bit in the opener.

Whose defense are they going to be calling, their own or someone else's? If their own, what is their philosophy?

Is he Tim Tebow?

Which QB not named Tebow really gave the LSU D problems? Brent Shafa had his moments, but that was about it.

That assumes the ASU O-line controls the Tigers D-line--don't see that happening.

JQ Drunk will be cursing anyway, 'cause it'll be hot or hot & rainy for that 8/30 opener.

Man this is GOOD stuff...Keep up the talk...I just love hearing you knowledgeable fans discuss the intricacies of big time football. Re. the Tebow v Edwards comment...Armanti is much faster and just doesn't try to bowl anyone over whereas Tebow doesn't have the quickness to deflect hard hits and he is a big ol' corn fed boy so he runs ppl. over. Obviously Tebow has more weapons around him AND his arm is probably stronger but I think Edwards will do all right. Shred...probably not but he'll be ok..
Now everyone have a great day and
GO APPS!!

First - It was NOT a APP STATE person who started this thread !!
Second - APP fans would NEVER agree with the word "shred" when it comes to this game !
Third - I appreciate the educated Tards responding to postings.
Fourth - The Tards have every right to defend the word "shred" next to LSU.
Fifth - APP fans are happy to be back in BR and hope we show LSU another respectable game maybe alittle closer than 2005.
Sixth - 108 Days till GAMEDAY !!!!
GO APP &

Yeah, the Tebow comparison is pretty ridiculous.
And Schaffer didn't just "have a few good moments", he ran for almost 100 yards averaging 12 yards a pop, AND threw for over 200 yards. Again, they didn't score much because we were able to shut them down in the red zone (thanks to Coach O and Seth Adams ) but he pretty much moved the ball at will. I mean they had almot FIVE HUNDRED yards of offense.
Also, McFadden was pretty much taking the snaps in the Arky game which definitely neutralized our D Line, although we'll be much healthier for this game obviously, so Edwards can be used in similar ways.
As for ASU's offensive line, when we played them in 2005 they ran for almost 200 yards and averaged 5 yards a carry against a damn good D Line, so I think they definitely have the players and schemes in that program to keep things interesting. Miles had VERY high praise for them after that game, and the ASU program has actually gotten a lot better since then. We have too, but still.
Simply writing them off because they are 1 AA is just stupid and going to lead to a lot of frustration in TS on opening night.
ETA: Didn't their strength and conditioning coach use to work here under Moffit?

Thats why he is playing in 1 AA instead of the real league.
