Instead of "shut the frick up" and "get off this board", why don't one of the articulate LSU fans here tell me why LSU will be better against a very good mobile QB in the first game of the year, than they were last season?

Lucky for us, we didn't have to play against Armanti Edwards in the BCS championship!

Because our Defensive front is far superior to your offensive front. We knocked the starting QB out of the game in the first 5 games last year. This year will not be any different.

I do think there will be a difference. I don't know that it will necessarily be positive. I hope it isn't Les' first misstep in hiring coordinators.

Maybe Ali Highsmith leaving will help against mobile QBs, since it turns out he was molasses?

Flamer.

What was the purpose of this thread other than to get all the rantards fired up? And then you bitch at them for being rantards and doing EXACTLY what you were trying to get them to do?? If YOU set a mousetrap, don't bitch at the mice for liking cheese

btw...I don't know why, but I think your avatar is the gheyest thing I've ever seen. I think it's cause I have a feeling you worked pretty hard on it.

purpose of this thread

Bored, and wanted to see how many people acknowledge football outside of BR and the SEC. What's funny is I said App St. wouldn't score much and the shitballs acted like I was calling an upset.

I am dreading sitting in the stadium and hearing the dickheads around me moaning like whores everytime Edwards scrambles for positive yardage.

Then don't go. What the frick would you WANT people to do if he scrambles for positive yardage? Clap?? Get the frick outta here!

Seriously, what would you prefer? Do you want everyone to be sipping tea and eating crumpets in Tiger Stadium? Do you want them to golf-clap for Edwards and pat him on the back and say "Jolly good show, old chap." Gimme a fricking break!

And you're avatar is still ghey.

There is no doubt Armanti is gonna pose all kinds of problems for our D, and ASU is a solid team with a good coaching staff. He is a great athlete, and they will have all offseason to come with a game plan to spread us out and attack our youth and inexperience at corner and LB.

I don't think he'll "shred" our D, but there are going to be a lot of knee jerk knuckleheads talking about how Miles screwed up with the Mallory/Peveto promotion because we are going to have trouble stopping them IMO.

Appy State is not your average 1 AA program. They played a very good game against us in 05. We were only up 14 nothing in the 4th quarter. They can play big teams, but playing here in November and August are two very different animals. I think they will wear down and eventually our talent and depth will take over, a la Tulane last year.

We'll neutralize him, too, with our power running game, cause ASU can't match up with our O Line, so we'll keep him off the field. That will also take the pressure off our QBs, so I think we'll dominate time of possession.

I think that playing them early and having Armanti expose some of our weaknesses will help the team in the long run because we will have time to correct them before heading to Auburn, Florida, or some of the other teams with the overall talent and depth to actually beat us.

No doubt a lot of these people are going to be upset when we come out of there with a 24-13 hard fought win or something like that though.

Why don't you define "shred" in terms of stats first and then we can respond.

Hmm. How about a middle ground between clapping and hurling obscenities while disparaging the players and coaches?

Ohhh...you mean you want to watch the game at home? Well just do that then. Tiger Stadium is SUPPOSED to be full of drunken lunatics...that's what makes it fun. If you don't find that fun, then stay home (or sit as far from the student section as possible)
