what our offer was/how far off ar we
do we need to offer more than that to get him to stay or just give him a raise and incentives

From the mystery behind him most sincerely believe what he says as inside info so im assuming he knows details

Arkansas has offered, 27.5 is incorrect. LSU has made a counter, but not enough.

So, I guess now is a time to start to get concerned?

I don't think so. I think he still stays, but they are definitely trying to make him think.

Just give him a slight raise with incentives and goals that must be attained after each season

So arkansas' offer has prompted lsu to offer Miles a raise and at this point Miles is prepared to walk unless lsu offers more money?

The way that people just follow belowpar like zombies is rediculous. For all you know he is full of it.

People listen because what he said was true about Michigan in 2007?

Belowpar had been around a lot longer than that, and has been right on more than just that occassion.

Belowpar is a friend of Les Miles and is trying to pump the fan base to support giving Les a raise. Les is maneuvering for more money, most of which he does not deserve. They will use public pressure and anything else that they can as leverage to try to convince Alleva to do it.

Is that really necessary when all you have to do is look at Arkansas and Auburn to see what a program can look like with the wrong coach at the helm?

Improving your team by 2 games is really the goal if you think you can do it by going after another coach for less money. Not a lot of room for error.

Arkansas would be improving their position based on their current record for a stable 9-10 win per year program with a chance to play in the SECCG.

LSU, if they let him go would be attempting to get another coach for less who can win 10 or more games per season while keeping the defense as dominate as it has been which gives them the same chance at a NC or improves the chance. That my friend is a crap shoot. Truthfully, you don't know if a coordinator will make a good head coach or if another head coach won't tear down what has been built up with the belief that he can do it better (remembering when LSU went to a 3-4 without the right personnel from a 4-3 and the flood gates broke open).

You're looking at a 3 year contract minimum with a two-year guaranteed arrangement at worst. Unless... Would Chip Kelly leave Oregon (will it work)? Would Brian Kelly leave ND? Not likely. These are not the only options but that is the playground you are in.

Coach O leaving the Saints to join LSU as D line coach comes to mind. Belowpar was spot on with the offers and counter offers from Volunteers before they were reported in local news media, if I recall.
