If the guy was the second coming of Joe Montana, he'd be starting by now. But he's not, so he isn't

You: Harris isn't better than Jennings that's why he doesn't start.
Me: Wrong
You: Then you obviously think Harris is Joe Montana.

Not quite.

You: p1. Harris is better than Jennings.
p2. Miles would be a fool not to start the better QB.
p3. Miles is not starting Harris.
c. Therefore, Miles is a fool.

Me: p1. 'If Harris was better than Jennings (hyperbolically, 'If Harris was as good as Joe Montana'), then he would start'
p2. Miles is starting Jennings.
c1. Therefore, Jennings is a better QB than Harris.
Hyperbolic c2. Therefore, Harris is not as good as Joe Montana.

he is going with Jennings because he trusts Jennings as a leader. In my opinion, leslie thinks that harris has let all of this "outside noise" go to his head and he does not like his attitude. if he thought Jennings was better, why would they still be splitting reps with the 1s?

now, onto graytiger

- coming from a guy who posted not even 10 minutes after my post, in a thread which he has no desire to participate in, yet keeps coming back for more selfings. whats even better is every time you come and reply, you bump this thread that you want so badly to go away. thanks for making my workday that much better.

It's real simple. Harris may have more ability to score than Jennings, but he is trying to prove he's selfworth to the coaches and teammates.

He takes risks, which results in CLM not fully trusting him with the offense. See- Int vs. Kentucky...

It has nothing to do with the fans, twitter, etc.

So what you're saying is that we, as fans, need to push Les in the opposite direction that we really want him to go. But he may read this thread and expect that. He will then do the opposite of what comes natural. Our counter is to push him in the original direction thereby getting what we want.

This thread has nothing to do with what Miles wants. This thread is about Harris letting fans influence his opinion of himself. Harris needs to tune out all the "peripheral chatter" as Les calls it.

Were the fans to blame when J Lee didn't get a chance after 4 quarters of getting our shite pushed in on 1/9?

The thread title is tongue-in-cheek, but obviously I underestimated this boards ability to grasp satire.

What Les did to Lee by putting him in for the very last snap of the SECCG and no snaps for the BCSCG is disgusting. But that has no relevance to this discussion.

Now you are getting it......

BTW if YOU were the HC at a MAJOR college with tons of pressure as Miles has on him to win...Who would you start at QB?????

Does it matter who starts if both get into the game?

Ok, start jennings, since thats what you want me to say, but I maintain that it doesn't matter who starts if both play. LSU has used a 2 QB system, for better or for worse, in miles' time here before. Why would this be different?

Who knows, maybe if Harris and Jennings continue to split time like the first half of the season maybe Harris overtakes Jennings.

Remember 1/9/12, when the quarterback who took 65% of the snaps all season never played and the offense never crossed midfield?

Remember this year when our qb was 2-5 with 2 ints and a fumble against the worst defense in the country......he made change. I think Harris did enough to get at least 2 series every game.

I like to think the only reason Welter was removed from the middle LB position was because of the fans screaming that beckwith just needed playing time.

You infer with Beckwith, Miles listened to the fan base instead of Chief, but won't listen to the fans instead of Cameron about playing Harris?

I knew you self-important types actually existed, and glad you have courage to stand and be counted.
