Anyone who thinks this is the same team...

that lost to Auburn and State is ignorant. Yes, we still have our question marks and areas to improve, but no one can tell me that it would be the same arse whippin if we were to play State later in the year. Whole different team, expect good things.

Actually, they are the same team. Just much improved.

no different team. beckwith starting... consistent starting quarterback... thomas is down and jamal has flourished in the opportunity. We got Q thomas back. Good try sarcastic a-hole.

We are literally watching a lot of these boys become men right before our eyes every single week. This is a very special group of players and I'm going cheer them on every game they play for us victory or defeat.

No, it's literally the same team. A couple different players yes, but still the same team.

No actually you are taking his comment out of context... therefore your literal comment is incorrect for this thread.

I think we are improved but UF, UK, and Ole Miss aren't the same offenses that MSU & Auburn were.

I am glad all the freshman, sophomore's are getting so much experience and playing time on D. You think the defense is something this year, next year they will be the showcase of the team by far.

UK and State just played and it came down to the wire

I won't argue semantics, but the whole feel of this season changed after the Florida game. We won a tight one in the Swamp, but then proceeded to blow out Kentucky (who gave #1 MSU a much closer game afterwards) and beat undefeated #3 Ole Miss. I don't think the team we saw through the Auburn game could've done that.

yep, davenport and adams are prime examples.....as well as LF....hell, AJ is getting better too, whether anyone will give him credit or not.
It's funny when you have the negas on here talking about media still looking at those early drummings......most of the media are quick to say that this team is improving dramatically....I always thought it was all about how you were playing at the end of the year....if LSU beats bama, correction, when they beat bama, and if they follow it up with wins on the road over a&m and arky......You would be hardpressed to name me 4 teams playing better than LSU

If Jennings was starting against Auburn we still would have lost but Harris getting rattled and not being able to move the ball anywhere besides backwards on second down compounded auburn's blowout. That game would have been a lot more respectable if we had Jennings just controlling the game to the best of his ability and keeping it close. Our defense was on the field the entire night. I think this gets overlooked way too much.

I guess you don't remember the struggles we have had in lexington? Top teams do not get up for UK. Classic trap games.
My point was we have not faced an offense with the firepower of Auburn or State. Still have some questions on defense.
If our oline was playing then like they are now both of those games would have been much different.

quote:We probably would. They are the real deal. Plus while our players (specially the lines) are playing much better a lot of the success is from the coaches changing things up... but unfortunately the main problem there is very stubborn and likely to revert back to old ways at any time.
but no one can tell me that it would be the same arse whippin if we were to play State later in the year.

The team is the same team if you're looking to make a case for why LSU may not win another game this season...
"LSU got it's shite pushed in by Auburn and Miss State and DON'T have a PRAYER against OLE MISS and BAMA because the DL and LB's suck..I'M not a HOMER................."
After LSU wins those games you switch to LSU being a different team so that you can argue that the staff waiting so long to make the changes cost LSU the earlier losses...
"WHY did MILES take SO long to make CHANGES that we ALL knew SHOULD have been MADE on DAY 1...TAKE off your HOMER glasses"

You guys are arguing over a version of the philosophical paradox known as the Ship of Theseus, and I can assure you it won't get solved on the Tiger Rant.
Suffice it to say that the team has a few new starting members and overall is much improved.

I must've seen a differnt UK-Miss St. game last weekend.
LSU and Ole Miss came down to the wire.
LSU and UF came down to the wire.
UK and Miss St. did not. The game was competitive and MSU won by 2 TDs.
