Didn't Jackson score most of his points in second half?

CJ was amazing and that is coming from a lifelong UK fan.
I live here in BTR and have gone to many LSU games over the years but one of the best "plays" I ever saw was a ball get loose on while LSU was on defense while the clock was ticking down the half. It was rolling toward the far corner on LSU's end. CJ was the only person to give chase and he scooped up the ball in the corner on the dead run and put up a last second jumper in the deepest part of the corner and knocked it down for three. He continued his run up tunnel and went in to the locker room for half time. I don't know if he even saw it go down...

Hell yeah. Especially this one. I remember watching it in my apartment right off GSRI and Gardere.

No doubt!! Went to the Georgetown game in the Dome as well as the UNLV game and all the other home games. My buddies and I routinely sat in the bottom row of the student section. GREAT times in the Assembly Center

I do and those were CJ vs Glass games were phenomenal. There were a couple of other showdowns they had as well, but the 53 and 55 pt game really stands out. Not sure what ever happened to GG, but CJ brought out the best in that guy.

Glass would kill LSU if I remember correctly. He was a good college player, not as good as CJ, but they had some battles.

There were lots of guys that could light it up back then, like Gathers at Loyola Maramount, and shortly after like Jamal Mashburn(UK) and Allan Houston(TENN). But Glass and Jackson were my favorites

Damn watching that game brought back memories. For some reason I remember Gerald Glass as being a chubby guy...I guess everything seems big when you're young. I went with my girlfriend to the DUKE vs LSU game with Shaq, Stanley Roberts and CJ. Even though they lost it was an experience I will never forget. I remember lingering outside and seeing Stanley leaving with his girlfriend. She came up to his waist...at least that's the way I remember it. ..

I would love to see a video of that play, but I haven't been able to find it. I can't remember who we were playing, but it was a road SEC game. I recall that the inbound pass was up high, and cj pretended to give up on it, which caused the defender to stop running. Then cj sprinted for it and hit an amazing 3 pointer. The crowd gave him a standing ovation.

Yes, I remember those games. I left BR in '88 and gave up my season tickets , but I saw every game that was on TV. CJ was great. I loved that year.

Yes, remember those games well. Jackson was an unstoppable force when he was on. And he was on most of the time.
Gerald glass was an unbelievable scorer as well, those were fun times to follow LSU basketball.

Chris Jackson-what a phenomenal scoring machine. A shot so pure every time he shot. The same motion with an amazing amount of the same positive results! His stroke was similar to watching a beautiful baseball swing (Ken Griffey Jr.) Duplicate mechanics every time-I love seeing that.

I remember seeing a sideline inbounds play from half court where Maurice Williamson threw an alley oop to CJ

CJ Was standing at half court, took off for the basket, got a back pick at the ft line and went up, caught the ball and dunked it.

Incredible.

CJ was simply the best "shooting" point guard in college of his era. Unbelievable memories.
