Anyone really considering not renewing their tickets?

Friend of mine says he's serious.

I see it as a chance to hopefully stay in our same section but move down a few rows.

I'm hoping ... has there been any rumor to "how much" tickets might increase? Is it the Tradition Fund fee or the tickets themselves?

I hate to ever let them go ... during the 2007 season especially, it was so nice to not worry about finding/getting/buying tickets as we had them. Just think next years schedule from what I remember seeing sucks.

I'm not considering. I've decided. I'm not renewing them in less a family member wants them. Then I'll keep them in my name and they can pay for them and go.

Not only would I not even consider not renewing, but I would love to get four more seats around me for other family members.

I've said it many times. I have been going to games in Tiger Stadium since the 1960s when I was a kid. I remember what the feeling was like walking into that stadium the first time because I get that same feeling every time I go to a game. When that feeling stops I'll quit going. I'm not even close.

Yes but do you need season tickets to acquire that feeling? Game tickets are awful easy to come by.

I'm seriously thinking about not renewing. I've become so apathetic about LSU football these days. I'm so sick and tired of an underachieving team that part of me doesn't want to spend money to support them. How we end up on signing day will be a big factor as to whether or not I renew.

They have been in my family since the 50's. So, not going to let them go, but really have lost faith in our coach. I know LSU can't fire him right now given his record and I do not see anyone coming after him to hire him away, so we are stuck. I see no improvement throughout the year. Maybe some individual players get better with experience but the team as a whole seems to not get better the way other teams do as the year progresses. So...I will keep the tickets and just try to sell the ones I don't want.

This, plus a home schedule that is less exciting than if we switched with Southern.

Yes, not because of last night's or this season's performance, but because of the price increase+a home schedule with really just 2 interesting games. With every game on TV now, it's becoming harder to justify the price

I'm keeping those in my name, but giving up 6 I pay for.

With capacity going up 7000 and our schedule as it is with many of the marquee games being at neutral sites, it's insane to continue paying for the surcharge to guarantee tickets.

people say this every year when we fall out of BCS contention...couple that with escalating prices and a terrible economy and you would think tickets would be freed up

but when it is said and done, we still have nearly 100% renewal of season tickets year after year....

I agree, but with the capacity increase and the market for those game to game tickets becoming a buyer's one, those people that rely on others paying to keep tickets in their name are going to find themselves in a bind.

I'm only renewing if I can get better seats. Otherwise, No. I don't need to spend 1200.00 a year for tickets when I can only spend a few hundred to the games I want to go to. Plus I can pick where I want to sit.

Therein lies the problem with the intersection of the ticket prices and the average home slate.

If you have X dollars to spend, why spend it on subpar seats for the whole home schedule when you can just spend it on the games you want and enjoy the game in style?

I know 3 people that said they werent before bama game.
Lose next two and there will be a bunch more.

Costs too much for lots of people.
Throw in the extra expense of tradtion fund, parking and most of all bullshite frickING HOME SCHEDULE... yeah, I sure hope we arent looking at downtime.

I won't be but only because I live out of state and only make one our two a year so it isn't worth it to blow the money on TAF and tradition fund.
