It's great. Keep it up. And the staring them down and intimidating them during warmups was fricking awesome.

But our guys look like a bunch of thugs doing it. We're close to crossing the line if we haven't crossed it already. Like someone else posted, we're good enough on the field not to be running our mouths after every play.

It's just talking. Why get all wound up over this? If it was a serious problem, I'm sure Miles would put a stop to it.

Show me one football team that doesn't do it.

It's part of football.

Reminds me of The U. I hated when they did it, and I don't want that kind of reputation for LSU
Most people that support & glorify those type antics likely have little pride in the university and image of the program. They probably behave in an immature, rude, and inconsiderate manner.

I find it highly amusing it bothers some people so much.

Millions of people watch our games. Congrats to you if it doesn't bother you but I don't like LSU players behaving like a bunch of thugs out there. Apparently a lot of you are perfectly fine with it.

I just don't get the thinking of you people that have such problems with it. It's talking, the guys are having fun. Tryann even said "We probably need to tone it down a little bit."

WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?

To the extent that we are doing it? I don't know of any right now. And that's a fact.

I don't see how "talking" = being a thug.

Nick Fairley is a thug. Hitting a guy helmet to helmet on purpose is being a thug.

Remember the Florida game last year where TM7 was picked up and body slammed by that one FL lineman? That's being a thug.

Talking some trash to a guy that was giving it to you a few minutes earlier is not being a thug.

This is flat out crazy to assume. I have just as much pride and love for LSU as you probably do, and I have no problem with our guys having a little "swag" confidence in their style of play.

Or don't think trash talking in a football game of all things hurt the university or program image or makes anyone thugs. But yeah let's go right to comparing ourselves to the height of the Da U stuff which was largely based on criminal behavior.

Obviously it depends on who's doing it. There's probably been hundreds of threads lauding Jacob Hester for telling Major Wright he should watch out because a man was coming through but when TM7 does it he's a thug.

When I was In HS I talked tons of shite on the field. They talked back. It brings the competition to a whole nother level IMO. Anyone who has played has. Then Shake hands and/or hang out afterwards.

I would rather people stop whining than our players stop trash talking...

+1, a lot of times I would even have the refs laughing. Talking is part of defense, offenses have so much more to think about pre snap so getting in their head is important as a defensive player

Not to the extent it is happening right now. I saw the same game everyone did. TM7 and co. kept talking even after getting burned on several plays. The trash talking before the game was bad enough/excessive enough for ESPN to show a clip of it in the middle of the damn game. How many other games did you see on Sunday where they had a clip focusing on a team's trash talking? Do tell? Oh let me guess, LSU is the only team that plays true football and ESPN hates LSU. Right?
