Anybody on the payroll at a Oregon run university has to be somewhat woke--

Casey won that is true.

He is old. I am the same age and no way I would chase 17 year olds all over the country and beg them to play for me.

He does not know Southern sources of recruits.

He has to be at least some "woke" to remain on the payroll of state college in Oregon as he is now.

It is a big pass for me.

I don’t think the LSU baseball program needs an older man to coach today’s players. It will not help recruiting. Coach Casey has seen his better days.

How woke can you be if you were cool with keeping a child molester on your team just because it made your team better?

Regardless, I don't give a shite about coaching politics as long as they win.

That's literally all that matters.

That said, there are better options than Casey.

Also, my experiences when going to the Corvallis regional in 2018 is that Oregon State and its fans are redneck conservative as frick.

Age is a factor

I want coaches that care about the character of the players and the education of the players AND win. CPM is good example and so is Bianco and Corbin.

Fielding pedos and whatever else these woke people want now is not what I want win or lose.

Even without the pedo crap I wouldn’t want a coach his age that retired bc he said he wasn’t giving it the effort his players deserved and living in Oregon all his life...one of the most beautiful places in the country and he would consider moving to BR, makes no sense

Woke is all about looking the other way when it's convenient for you.

Under Bianco, Ole Miss has hosted nine NCAA baseball regionals and three NCAA baseball Super Regionals. The program won four SEC Western Division Championships under his guidance (2005, 2009, 2014, 2018), the 2006 SEC Baseball Tournament, the 2018 SEC Baseball Tournament, the 2009 Southeastern Conference Co-Championship, and six NCAA regional championships (2005, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2014, 2019). In 2005, 2006, and 2009, his teams hosted Super Regionals. In 2014 Bianco led the Rebels to victory in the Lafayette Super Regional, defeating the #1 ranked Ragin' Cajuns, and advanced to the College World Series.

From WIKI

Remember too he is at the "second" baseball school in a small state. He is at a big disadvantage with in state recruiting given the facilities and reputation of State. He has done a damn good job given these disadvantages.

You don't think Ole Miss has money?

They have a better baseball facility than LSU.

They don't have anything close to the facilities at State.

Ageism is real on the rant. Best college football coach ever is still coaching and recruiting at 69 years of age right now.

They are par with LSU.

Still has never won the SEC outright.

Bianco ain't it, chief.

Saban instilled his system years ago. He knows every high school coach and all the important barbers in the Southeast. He didn't do those things at age 69. He has a system he can still manage but I doubt at his age he could go to a West Coach school and start all over.
