None of them are real STs coaches as McGaughey is. Have no pro experience which was one of the criteria. Nice guys don't always make the best STs coaches. They need to be a little bit like a shrink.

I've heard somewhere that we have someone that works with our kickers and punters. I'm not 100% sure on this so correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the special teams coordinator is more involved with the coverage units and return teams. Coach Mc played safety in college so I don't see where he would have became a kicking guru out of nowhere, but like I said I'm not 100% sure on this.


ETA: also in charge of the FG/XP unit. Also has to keep things organized personnel wise.

I had a feeling Peveto's name would be in discussion for the job. I think Manny Diaz would be an intriguing hire.
