Had a discussion several months back about this. Just wondering if fall ball lead to any discoverys or if anyone had insight on who would likely be the starters?

C - Papierski
LF - Fraley

Everything else up in air??

Is it for sure that pap will be full time starter? I know we have a juco catcher that went to catholic.

I thought I read that Pap was killing the ball in fall scrimmages. We need his and a few more bats to really step up.

How's the pitching looking besides Lange and Poche?

Solid bench guys, we are in trouble if they are starting. Defensive liabilities with no real position.

I wouldn't be surprised to see freshmen Antoine Duplantis and Brennan Breaux start with Fraley in the outfield, I think they had good fall ball. Not so sure about the infield.

Papierski batted well in Fall practice and Jordan Romero (CHS-BR kid) struggled some at the plate, so I'd expect Papierski to start.

Kramer Robertson and Greg Deichmann also had strong Falls and would be expected to be starters. Freshman from WV, Trey Dawson, struggled at the plate in the transition to D-1 baseball, but PM says he doesn't care as long as he is strong in the field at SS.

Coaches continue to rave about Antoine Duplantis, freshman from Lafayette High. They say he's the next Andrew Stevenson, so surely will find him a place in the outfield (LF or RF). Fraley is locked into CF.

Well, I guess its still just a guess btw 15-17 guys for 7 spots. Fraley is only sure thing.

I've heard this about Duplantis too. We had a great defensive outfield last year, and if those are true, we won't fall off too much there.

Kids parents are both LSU track alumni. Dad was a pole vaulter and mom a heptathlete. Needless to say he's very athletic. Playing defense and stealing bases won't be a problem
