Any Chance Pap Stays?

I know it's wishful thinking, but seeing how much our big 4 jumped in draft in position compared to last year, and with Pap really turning it on the 2nd half of the season, could an argument be made for him returning?

If the boy is smart, he'll leave BR.

No, the money he'll get offered in the 9th round this year as a junior will be more than he would get say he were drafted in the 5th round as a senior next year... it's all about that leverage.
He could pull a Poche, I guess, but with all of his contemporaries leaving, I think it's pretty safe to bet he leaves, too.

This is the kind of thing I was looking for. I know little to nothing about that side of things. Thanks.

No in baseball if you are drafted in the top ten rounds as a junior you go no question asked. Unless you jump up into the first or second round you are probably going to make less money than you were as a junior.

I want him to d what is best for his career. If LSU can't beat the odds by him staying at LSU I want him to take his best shot. Period.

This board dogged Pap for the better part of the season and now y'all want him to stay?

Not sure why you responded to my post saying this. I've always been a Pap fan.

I just picked one, didn't mean to direct that at you.

We are fickle fans, true
But Pap was pretty god awful at the plate for a few week stretch. Glad he got it turned around. Big reason for our run and great rep of LSU baseball

He should act like he loves Paul and wants to stay then buy a nice car with the extra 200k he squeezes out of whoever drafted him.

You really need to take a break from posting.

His mom was overheard in Omaha saying he was gone. He gone.
Love me some Pap.
