Jennings first game this year is the exact OPPOSITE of Herb Tyler.
Jennings has speed but is not a great runner. Tyler was a true runner. The comparisons get further apart from here on out.
Jennings long balls we spot on, but his short passes were shite. This is the exact opposite of Herb Tyler. I don't think Herb Tyler ever threw an errant short pass in his entire career at LSU.
That is exactly how I remember Herb. Great Tiger who gave all he had which was a lot.

Maybe a little bit like Tyrod Taylor, but I think Jennings is going to be a way better passer. Also, not as tall, but Darren Thomas comes to mind.

How tall is Thomas? I never thought he was that big.

SERIOUSYLY??? He is NOTHING like Tyler! He is more like Matt Flynn than Tyler. Did you just pick a black LSU QB out of the sports almanac to compare him to?

he reminds me of herb tyler, marcus randall, and a little bit of rohan davey.

I think he was listed at 6'3. Maybe it was just Oregon's line that makes him look shorter. Nearly every one of our starters is 6'6

Jennings also reminds me of JaMarcus Russell, Melvin Hill, Marcus Randall and Jordan Jefferson. Who am I missing?
R Perilloux
(and my favorite also... Ro!)

his biggest problem was the rest of the offense wasn't anything to write home about...esp. the OL...lol... From 95-98 we consistently had one of the best O-line's in the SEC, a stable of talented backs and several very talented receivers.
Yes. Several future NFL players surrounded HT. Of course, such is also the case for AJ and BH.
