We had 1 bad game and won on the road. In the SEC. People need to settle down.

[quote]But if there was still 4 more seconds, and he rushed the kick, how is that anyone's fault but his own?[/quote

Ok.. let's back this up... rewind the tape...

From the time the FG team ran onto the field.. they looked rushed.. because time hadn't been managed properly... clearly they knew they were short on time.. FG kicker steps off his steps... BRIEFLY takes a quick breath.. nods at Wing.. ball is snapped. Maybe it was enough time but to me.. the kid looked pushed///rushed... and it caused him to push a chip-shot fg a little right.

how old are you? i'm not sure if you're aware, but it is, and it is suppossed to be, very difficult to get to the NC game.

Not if you read this board any. Before the season.. the consensus was we were going to cruise to the Bama game... whip them, then redeem ourselves in the NCG. I remember reading lots of undefeated predictions.

Look, all I'm saying is.. this team, based on the Auburn game, is not as good as last year... at this point.. for whatever reason. Florida, in 2 weeks, will be a good test.

Which one of us is acting like we know more about football than Les Miles? Thought so

There is your problem along with a lot of other people. You can't base a team off of ONE GAME. If you had done that for us last year after the MS State game, you would have written us off then too. Or maybe say Florida in 2008 after losing to Ole Miss of all teams.

Go back & read my original post... I never said I knew about football than Les Miles. I said that based on his tenure at LSU he seems to, at times, have a lack of focus which leads to other issues. If you have watched very much LSU football during this time, you have seen the same thing. I never said Miles is a terrible coach. I do think he's not disciplined at times... but never said I knew more than him.

And I hope you are right.

It just seems to me there's a big tendency on this board by some people to attribute all our problems to failures on the part of the coaches.

Seeing as how the coaches are ultimately responsible for the product they put out on the field, they are the ones who deserve credit for success and blame for failure.

Just come out and say it... Miles sucks and you wish we still had saban...... Anything Miles does good is luck and you'll pounce on his head everytime something doesn't quite go our way...

You're just another "I told You so" type fan that LSU has since the departure of your lord Saban...

You are giving Miles' "pointers" throughout this thread. I said you are acting like you know more than him which is exactly what you are doing. Anyone who does that to a man with his record is a complete joke.

Does the man make mistakes, yes. EVERY COACH DOES. The fact is, he is the most successful coach LSU has ever had and has had one of the most successful past 7 years of anyone in the country.

I dont give a shite how unorganized or undisciplined he looks or acts on the sideline because everything else he is doing is obviously working based on his record. Winning is all that matters and Miles has done enough to gain a benefit of the doubt.

Nope.. but I don't stick my head in the sand and just overlook junk either. This ain't about Miles & Saban.

Very well said. No matter what miles does they'll still be these types that second guesses his every move just because he doesn't act like a raging maniac on the sideline.

Your points are valid even though I tend to agree with the other guy that said that the AU game was a case where the players were clearly not up for the game (players' & coaches' fault).
I & every other non-koolaid drinker knows that your points are not purely based on one game (hence the "every year" comments) & the observations are true regardless of how the narrow-minded try to bash you....but you know this already, I'm sure.

And the ole "coach knows more than you could ever hope to know" point as to why you can't criticize is soooooo weak. There are dozens of examples of coaches around the country at all levels that have had success in their profession but make moronic mistakes (people are human). It's when those mistakes are habit that the fanbase should be truly concerned....IMO.

Name me a perfect coach that never wishes he had a second shot at something during a game.

There's a difference in acknowledging that certain aspects of our game need improvement and acting like Miles has no idea what he is doing, his program is undisciplined, he need to make better hires, etc.

So let me get this straight. The players have no stake in the success or failure of the team. It's all Miles' doing. OK. Got it.
