I probably have the same attitude that a good number of Tiger fans have for us. If they win, congrats. If they lose, I'm indifferent. A good number of my fellow Cajun fans feel the same

I'm the same way. I feel most-but certainly not all-of the hate comes from the older crowd of cajun fans. I think there will be a lot less bitterness coming from our fans in about 10-15 years. It'll still be there, but it won't be nearly as bad.

Unless we get that invite to the big 12 ( ) and actually somewhat compete with y'all in more sports than baseball and softball. But until then, I remain indifferent towards LSU.

The fact that these people are Bama fans, because of their hate for LSU, is disgusting to me.

Someone explain this to me. It seems like this is a popular narrative among the LSU fanbase. I, personally, take no part in this accusation.

I will offer him an empty beer can so he can add it to the collection and pay off his trailer.

You got that right all you need do is turn to Section A....a guy I know(who is pushing 30 btw) is a loud proud member. He bad mouths LSU baseball consistently (also talked mad shite when ULL won the NOLA bowl and LSU lost the music city bowl)......I normally keep my mouth closed so that my wife stays happy.

I got a feeling I won't be able to hold my tongue this weekend.....I'm hoping the cat goes back offshore.

Are you really that feeble minded?? How in the world does supporting lsu sports benefit ANY region other than BTR????

Are you? Do you even comprehend the amount of merchandise sold at various sporting good stores with LSU logo on it in the Acadiana area? Whether locally owned or not, ALL of those store employe local people...who then spend their money primarily in the Acadiana area.

In short...supporting the program with the MUCH higher number of supporters does more for the economy than supporting the lesser program AND shitting on the larger one.

We witnessed just a TASTE of how much LFT would/will benefit....if just a fraction of the UL folks support their own school, rather than those filthy cheating corn dog folks.

As I said many posts ago...USL needs to earn that support. During my years at USL, despite the fact that I was one of VERY FEW students who attended games regularly, they DID NOT earn either my support or loyalty. their fans, much like yourself, were gigantic fricking tools whose interest were focused far more on Baton Rouge and the goings on of Big Brother than what was not happening in their own backyard.

Shaming locals into support is no way to live...

Winning is definitely the key. In 2014, Lafayette saw more Cajun merchandise sold than LSU for the first time ever after the success in baseball, basketball, softball, and football.

Link?

BTW...here's a fun story. Must be back in the late fall, the Target on Ambassador had a giant display of red shirts on an endcap. When I passed by it, I realized that they were all Louisville gear.

Now...let that sink in for a bit. Any guesses?

Some wank at the local Target must have ordered UL gear, and promptly received Louisville merchandise...for the hotbed of Louisville supporters in South Louisiana. it was so important to stick with the name they screwed up their inventory to do it.

They must not have been able to send them back as they were all marked down...

There are a ton of people in Acadiana that didn't go to your school . Are you saying you don't want their support?

Awaiting that link...

Seems unlikely, given LSU is consistently in the Top 10 nationally in merchandise sold...but isn't #1 in Acadiana?

Those guys may hate LSU but they usually treat LSU fans (and opposing team's fans in general) with respect. One thing I like about them is when they see someone with a LSU shirt at our games, they don't boo them, they buy them a cajun shirt.

But yeah sometimes they get obnoxious with their LSU hate.

Not saying that at all. The claim was that most of our fans live in trailers when it is exactly the opposite. The irony is that I'm quite sure that they're quite of a few LSU fans who do just that, live in trailers.....pot meet kettle.
