you assume way too much. The offense could have some bad games also.

I said before the season started that I'm gonna go back to the mode of LSU fan that I was pre 2003. I hope to win every game but as far as expecting anything, throw that in the fricking trash. I'm trying to just sit back and soak in the entertainment value of it.

So far so good! Yeah, yesterday stung a little bit. But two years ago I would have been completely useless to those around me today. And it's just not that way. I know I'm patting myself on the back, but reading the misery from some on here makes me feel good about the direction I chose-in a selfish way of course. Hate to see others so miserable and I've been there for the past ten years, trust me. It just makes being an LSU fan so much more enjoyable to go old school not expecting to win it all every year.

It's not melt down so much as it is full realization that a team with a defense like this cannot win a championship. Now, it's possible that they can fix some things on defense, and get it together before Bama and A And M, but that's a long shot .

This is a 2 or 3 loss team at best right now.

oh yeah. and i mean who is bama going to lose to at this point? let's not forget that. even if the SEC gets a team in with 1 loss, Bama is 1 ahead of us in the loss column and already beat the "all offense, no defense" team they faced in TAMU

it's very likely no SEC team makes it this year

hell who is going to beat shitty OU in the big12?

Yeah, I'm cool. Optimistic that our D gets it together.

I woke feeling ok, esp after seeing USC I'm appreciative of Les.

Yes LSU is the bridesmaid to Bama now but so is everyone else. Like bring frustrated with the Saints 20+ yrs ago for always losing out to the 49ers...no one else was beating the either.

that's not young though. i think only 2 really haven't gotten experience...allen and welter

we had a young D in 2010, and it was better than this one. we had talent, then, which we lack now

as beano cook would say, we lack material, not age. our secondary is just not good. no playmakers. can't man cover. bad communication.

A 1-loss SEC champ plays for all the marbles. I'll believe that until it doesn't happen. 2004 Auburn (12-0 at denial, and finished 13-0) was an anomaly - and we gave them, by far, their biggest scare that year.

X2. Plus, I don't see us winning both aTm and Bama...my heart says yes, but my head says no.

Not in full melt mode, but I am in acceptance mode- our D is showing the losses of personnel from last year...

I actually am not as disappointed as usual after seeing the Tigers lose a big game like that. Georgia is no slouch in the SEC this year and taking them to the wire between the hedges is no small feat for any team. And how nice was it to see LSU actually having a chance in a scoring battle against a QB Heisman candidate? The defense is a concern, no doubt, but that was expected after the draft. The Tigers do control their own destiny, and perhaps this year that doesn't involve the BCSNC with the easy schedules of higher ranked teams. That will all change after this season.

Was there for triple OT loss to Arkansas. Thought someone had died, the wy everyone reacted. We still ended up winning an NC.

frick you nega nellies. I am sad for the loss, concerned aboutthe D, but absolutely thrilled about our offense and the future of LSU football and our incredible OC!

Uh no bro. Bama is extremely more balanced because they have a defense.

Dude. We were being picked as possibly 6th best team in SEC this year after losing so much talent. We just lost by 3 to arguably the hottest team in the country on their turf and took them to the inside the last minute.

The future looks bright!

I think Clemson, Oregon, Ohio state all three are going to go undefeated the SEC won't sneak in this year.
BTW NFL Scout Mike Detillier said after the game. The defense isn't fixable until offseason. If Miles doesn't get a new DB coach in the offseason we will have a shot at going 6-6 next year with a new QB, new Wrs
