Does Les sell some kool-aid or something? Some people here would rather limp to 7/8 wins year after year with Les than struggle initially with a new coach for a season or two and then start improving. Seems like some on here don't care how poorly the team performs as long as Les is the coach. It's getting baffling at this point

Va tech is going to suck without beamer, Miami sucks because the AD doesn't give a shite.

Texas made a bad hire.

Les just had back to back top 5 classes for the first time in his tenure and currently holds the #2 class. LSU has never recruited at this clip before.

This is not what was happening at those 3 schools.

You do know the new coach can struggle at first then keep struggling and set LSU back 5-7 years.

I'm all for a change, but don't think for a second any new coach is going to come in here and start owning saban. Those fans are the delusional ones.

Now that he has taken the lead in firing Miles.

This isn't up to him.

It should be, but it's not.

Exactly this.

How quickly your tune will change if he hires a home run coach. Yes bad PR for LSU right now, but.... Stay tuned

Unless it is Saban or Meyer, it won't be a home run. I don't think Jimbo is the savior.

You fricking retarded or to young to remember the 90's. It's not that easy.

Well, I was around long before that and think there's easily enough evidence to support the fact that LSU did as much for Miles as the reverse. I like Miles, but it's not as though he was setting the world on fire before coming to LSU or that LSU was in dire straights on his arrival.

You don't know that. But we do know is VT sucks WITH Beamer.

Miami sucks because the AD doesn't give a shite.

And thankfully LSUs AD cares.

Looks that way. Mack stuck around too long and made sure to mess up any potential Saban hire so Texas was left with Strong. No one can seriously think Texas set out to hire Strong as a first choice.

Yes he's recruiting great. Recruiting has never been the issue. The issue has always been QB development and early NFL departures.

You people who are starting these threads about Alleva screwing this up or will be fired, blah blah blah. Just shut the frick up. He has made a move that needed to happen or this program would continue to underachieve and then become Va Tech, Texas, etc...

Look at all the blunders, natty against Bama, Tennessee game (both of them- Miles 2nd game blows 21-0 lead going milking the clock in the 2nd qtr, and the clock it/then snap over Jefferson's head, Ole Miss game, Troy State comeback from almost 30 down, the way he claps, crappy losses to Bama where we had the fricking games, and many more games and time management issues, but he always PLAYS NOT TO LOSE and he needed to PLAY TO WIN, however he and his offense has no clue how to make a 3rd down and 4 near the goal line..

Enough, let Alleva do his job as he is getting pressure from the powers that be, and he has not done anything wrong!!! :banghead:

What a shame. I can only downvote the OP once.

LSU is bigger than one man. We're going to be just fine without Les at the helm.

Poor kid...I remember Coach DiNardo having keys to the city for getting us in the Poulan Weed-eater Independence Bowl.

With Kevin Faulk and company vs Notre Dame, right? Needed "company" when Kevin went down & Rondell had one of the best rushing totals in LSU history off the bench if memory serves...
