I'm hoping Les see this event as a wakeup call and makes some serious changes to the system. Based on his past history I'm not optimistic.

I really doubt that Coach Miles is going to make "serious changes to the system" in light of his public statements after last night's game.

Alleva never said Les is staying.

Alleva never said anything about 2016.

Some of you guys let emotions cloud your read on things.

This had to be done last night and was a PR move regardless of who our coach is.

I just heard the quote again - indeed he was very vague. All he said was that he was looking forward to moving forward together and winning championships.

I noticed that too.

Doesn't matter. I'd wear purple and gold no
matter who the coach is. I support a team, not
a man.

I think you are the one who is clearly trying to read what you want into his words. It's not ambiguous to me or to most people who take words at face value.
Maybe we can ask DALSU what it means?

Les loves coaching LSU. and that job was almost taken from him because he is a stubborn fricker. He will learn the lesson. He will get an OC and let him run with it. Hell, Cam might actually be the guy if Les stays out of the way.
Saw some of the national media say this exact same thing and it is so wrong. Les is too old to change. Too stubborn to want to change. He has never been able to let an OC that he hired run the show alone. Cam with his friendship with Les had the best chance to make this happen and it didn't happen.

Nope!

I never stated what I want or believe in terms of Les. You might be trying to insinuate what you perceive me to believe because Alleva's words don't support your belief entirely.

The first mistake that the LSU suits made was that they thought/assumed that Jimbo Fisher would make the jump. Not sure what the "feelers" they sent out were told, but whatever it was, it was incorrect. The second mistake they made was that they let it leak that Miles was being released. The problem therein is that Fisher never had any definite intentions to make the jump, and now Alleva & Co. are stuck with egg on their faces, looking like the jackasses that they are.

Any chance Jimbo let it leak, instead of the LSU suits, to gain a little leverage at FSU?

If you believe Alleva was intentionally vague and there is any chance Miles will be gone after this season, you are smoking some serious dope. There is no way they backtrack now.

Not gonna happen.

Miles feels vindicated and now believes that he has a mandate from the people.

He won't change shite.

Maybe Glenn Guilbeau could share his source. I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't Nicky or Sexton. Glenn seems to be rather close to Saban.

There is nothing to backtrack on.

Yeah he is leading us to a bowl game and was the producer of the outstanding recruiting class that is coming in next year, but that doesn't mean he will coach the new recruiting class. If we were still to fire Les after the season though, it would look even "shittier" on the university to the public (God knows what ESPN will do to bash LSU even more). I just wish JA would have handled this better, as does everybody else.

I'm buying the conspiracy theory. I think Miles is in on it all to some extent.

Alleva is a puppet for a few big boys who don't like Miles. Fact is you cannot fire a coach who wins nearly 80% of his games and won you a national title in the toughest conference in the nation. It would have made us look more ridiculous than we already do.
