Alleva is a terrible representative for the university. He's just being a big cry baby at this point.

No, the crybabies were the UNCW officials who apparently asked to postpone the game because they didn't want a late start as the loser bracket team.

I'm glad he's making a fuss. But I would be happier if he had been able to prevent this from happening in the first place.

What could he have done? He apparently tried.

If he had courage, he would have refused to allow the Tigers to have to play Alabama a second time. I would have refused the bowl game if necessary.

...and you wonder why people don't take your opinions seriously.

What would have happened if Tulane had come back to win the game? Then you would have postponed a game at the request of a team that is not in the game. Would have loved to have seen that.

So the NCAA would not move the first game on Sunday up to noon or 1 pm and still broadcast the LSU game at 7 pm, but it will reschedule the game for Monday at noon and play the "if necessary" game at 7 pm? Fricking geniuses!

I don't know. I hope he made it abundantly clear that the NCAA no longer has authority or control over game times at Alex Box stadium. That's what I would tell them after this weekend. We get to make decisions on when games are postponed or moved up. This entire weekend has been a shitshow of incompetence. I'd also probably let the NCAA know that whoever made the final decision is persona non grata on LSU's campus.

I'm mad

Alleva's comments are too little, too late. LSU again lacks the pull behind the scenes to get decisions made in its favor, and is left to complain about it. That's a failure of leadership.

I'm glad he's arguing our case, because that's what an AD should do, but in the end, it's just another political fight he lost.

thats not really for him to say

hosting a regional/super is accepting that you are a host to an NCAA event where in the end the NCAA makes the final call.

He has no authority to do that unfortunately. They call all the shots with limited input from the host school.

Joe Camel is lying. He don't care. He understands it is all about the money and TV.

Aleva would let a LSU team play in ISIS controlled Iraq if the money was right.

Possibly have him arrested and detained on trumped charges like jaywalking or walking and chewing gum at the same time.
