If nothing else, this does let us know they are feeling the fricking heat. That's a positive in my book.

We already knew that. What we now know is the staff isn't getting along. None of the coordinators are getting fired either, so we are going to have a staff that resents their leader. One member of the staff was that leader's boss a little over a year ago. What a mess.

“ overruled him once”

So, what you’re saying is that Coach O is already meddling with the offense.

I’m going to go ahead and say that all those claims that there would be no meddling at all went out the window at Mississippi State.

Personally, I wish we had a coach who could do some kind of meddling when your team is starting to suck to the point that Troy beats us. But that’s just me.

exactly what I was thinking.

1. An Intervention? If O was doing his job, there should’ve been clear communication all along between he and his coordinators. If he’s not communicating well with them then what’s he doing?
2. Admission of this to the public would seem to be a poor attempt at letting fans know they’re trying something/anything to fix this, but really just confirms our concerns about how bad things were getting behind closed doors. Should’ve stayed internal.

the fact Alleva is anywhere near a football coaches meeting shows you just what a three ring circus this is.

God this has turn into such a clown show so quickly. I mean it was obvious to me that this was a terrible hire the second it happened but even I never imagined it could go so bad so quickly.

I'm no JA fan but appears to me he's at lest trying to be proactive.
That's a good thing.

If he was being proactive, he would have had a legitimate coaching search last year. This is him having to REACT to his shitty mistakes he made.

Did this ever happen when Saban or Miles or any former HC was here?

I never heard of anything like this happening anywhere that was even marginally functional. Total clown show. Total clown show x2 that they let it get out in the press.

If we lose to Florida, then a meeting will be held to include all fans and parents, then if another loss, the entire state of Louisiana, etc.

Coach O challenges an entire Ole Miss locker room to a fight but can't bully two coordinators to get in line?

Well, they are experienced coaches. They know O is out of his element. Imagine how you would react if an eight year old was named your boss. At least Canada knew what he was getting into.

The next step will be when they start throwing each other under the bus. I look for that to begin after the Auburn game.

Where have you been, Diver. O threw Canada under the bus for giving the ball to Brossette on the first play of the Troy game.

What in the holy frick is wrong with this situation? Everything, that's what. "I thought it was very positive"? I'm fricking sure you did, Rosy Finch. I wonder what Dave and Matt thought about it? Probably felt like little brothers getting scolded by daddy for something big brother did.

Right now our best shot is let Aranda be head coach of the defense and Canada be head coach of the offense.

What happens with special teams? What if Aranda doesn't want his guys on punt coverage? Then Canada says, "If you're guys aren't then mine aren't." Who settles the dispute? In fact, who prevents it from happening? There is no substitute for a head coach who is in command and confrol of the organization.

You maybe right, and it's had the exact opposite effect. That it would this effect should have been obvious to anyone.

I never believed in this hire, but I'm almost impressed at how quickly everything went to shite.

Well that sucks, if they would have had this meeting sooner maybe we wouldn’t have lost to Troy.
