When you lose by 30 to Mississippi State, lose to a three touchdown underdog on homecoming, lose to a Sunbelt team for the 1st time in school history, and break a 49 game out of conference home game win streak to said team things are horribly wrong.

If Alleva was truly competent, he would have conducted this meeting on Sunday and done so privately. Coming out on a Wednesday and announcing that they had a meeting just looks folkish, knee jerk and in failed damage control mode.

When the AD is getting involved in football in that capacity, things are horribly wrong.

What a mess.

Good. The messier it is this year the more likely the guy gets fired. Look, I love LSU but at this point I hope it tanks completely so they have more reason to get rid of Orgeron. It's better for him to completely fall on his face this year and a better coach be brought in before the recruiting takes a complete nose dive. The quicker they get him out of there the quicker our football program could bounce back if the correct hire is made. I seriously doubt they allow another hire like this to happen.

i mean, i never pull for LSU to lose, but its hard not to think this way... just get it over with and let the guy go... he is not going to change and things are not going to get better, it was a huge mistake hiring him and its just best to move on..

It is not that unusual for a superior to intervene in any corporation when there is a component not working.

This signals the entire team that it is to their benefit to work together. On the other hand, I find it useless to have released the info.

You air dirty laundry in private.
