LSU doesn't have nearly the resources as some other SEC schools.

Ive always thought it was really hard to get inside information about the coach or AD, but apparently it's super easy. There are so many of you with access I feel bad for being in the minority.

Good counter to all the lame excuses our coaches keep selling to the fans.

"Other coaches have to find young coaching talent and develop them. Why can't you?"

I guess that's what Saban did with Kirby Smart and Lane Kiffin. Give me a break. Good head coaches go after the best coordinators they can get their hands on.

Since Alleva has left Duke multiple programs have won national championships. He brings down every school he's at especially the WBB program.

That's only because we played such a shitty non-conference schedule. Someone did an analysis yesterday, and I tried to find it but couldn't, but just taking into account our SEC games we were almost last in Total defense, giving up well over 400 yards per game, a bunch of points, etc. #1 defense in SEC is very misleading.

Tigerlaff, posts like yours really does piss me off--the guy is trying to ask a reasonable question--show a little respect if you are smart enough to do so

probably the most ignorant thing I've read on the Rant in a while... and thats saying something. We have a Top 5 paid staff... let that sink in and then post what you said again. We have top 10 talent in the state. How the hell can you post something that ignorant? A bad season for LSU should never end outside of the top 25 as long as we're shelling out this kind of money and remain in Louisiana.

That's why they're the 5th most valuable football program in the COUNTRY with only Bama ahead of them in the SEC.

IMO, the youth explanation morphed from a reason to an excuse. Our OL retuned 4 starters all eligible for the NFL and two other seniors (Evan and Fehoko) vying for the other spot. We had seniors in the backfield (Hilliard, Magee, and Neighbors) and a Sr TE (Dickson). And Dural wasn’t that young either (draft eligible). 9 of 11 positions on O were draft eligible. Our “youth” is more choice than necessity. There were a lot of opportunities to develop a 3rd WR in ’13 squandered on ‘preserving victory.’ Learn from ants – they prepare for winter. It’s coming.

Don't know Kiffin's story but Saban pretty much 'raised' Kirby Smart, Muschamp, and Fisher.

Of course, every HC wants to hire the best asst's he can. But there is always a limit to how much can (or should) be spent. I'm merely suggesting that in Joe's view, Les has lost his leverage to demand what Chavis was asking.

I do not think Les will be with us much longer. He will retire soon.

Nothing like giving an old pal $1,300,000 annually to do a poor job.
