All this talk about BCS, why no mention of what is going on with the defense?

Secondary has been bad the last two weeks. BAd angles, missed tackles, playing way off short routes, biting on double moves. I'm concerned at the regression we've seen.

They are tired. We had just played 5 ranked opponents in a row.

Defense didn't play well yesterday.

Anywho, about the BCS.

Defense was horrid yesterday.

Couple more games like that and Reid might be back next year.

Agreed. We've been playing very soft coverage the last two weeks. They look fairly tired to be honest. This is what concerns me about the Arky game the most. Despite their record, they have the capability to put up points. Definitely need to get aggressive next week.

meh I don't think it's that

just part of playing, going to have games like that

just be happy LSU has a QB who can get them or keep them in any game if something goes wrong

talent is there, they'll be fine

Discussing it won't help

They looked tired...and slow. That's a lot of young guys playing some intense games. I think we're really missing Tyrann and the three transfers.

Reid's stock may be falling- I do not see how it could rise unless just old tape and measureables. Look, I want the best for him but I support any decision he makes. Looking at his production this year, his replacement will be just as good or better- That is fact to what IO have seen, and it seems number 6 Loston will have a monster year next year- he is faster and around the ball and still killing them on tackles.

Yeah, it's good to see Loston making some plays the past couple of games. You can see his confidence growing.

Instead of all this talk about the .001% chance of sec and bcs title game, one would think should be a lot more concerned about going to Arkansas and hoping to win that game with the way the defense is playing the last few weeks. That is no pushover and nothing to overlook.

I think Reid's stock dropped a whole draft round yesterday.

Started with Alabama's last drive, but the same guys who were reaming out the offensive for their crappy play are strangely silent when it comes to a pass defensive that has given up 800 yards and 5 TDs in the last 3 games.

The defense bailed out the offense many times in the first half of the season and then they had to deal with aTm, Bama, MSU all in back-to-back weeks. I said this in the in-game thread.. it's entirely possible that our DL is gassed and leaving our secondary exposed.
