Seriously.

PM put him in the lineup and Nola has no control over that part.
I was a senior when he was a soph in HS and trust me he works harder than most people I know at what he does.
The "he sucks" and "he should just quit" post on this site is riduculous. I've read the post on here and it's unreal who fricking stupid some of you people really are. Yes, he's batting .230 (or whatever), but he's in the lineup and the team is doing fine. We are better off defensively than we were in the past and we are still managing to score a good amount of runs and WIN games.

It is obvious that he is going to play from here on out so just support the kid. Afterall, he is a FRESHMAN! He will more than likely be our SS next year. I hope you all don't rag his arse year after year for not "meeting expectations." Let the kid play, he's 18/19 years old. Chill out and support him. Not that he should care, but I really hope he doesn't read sites like this.

Maybe some of you should consider a head coaching job at a D1 school. When PM gets fired, send in you application...be sure to tell them you are a e-badass and pro-rantard on TD.com. That should land you the job.

Nola is fine with me, at least he makes contact with the ball unlike some other starter in the line I know. Everytime (k) Mitchell steps up to the plate I get beet red and wanna scream and then when he (K)'S!!! I curse up a storm and wonder why the HELL Helanehi is not in the line up and at least putting the ball in play instead of WHIFFING ALL THE DAMN TIME!!! Sorry.....composure regained...see, my blood pressure was rising just picturing him step up to the plate with a runner in scoring position and I was losing it! At 7:45am at that!

Sorry, this is a Nola thread right?

There will always be the retards here that think they know more than the coaches LSU has in place.
They think LSU sports are a part of their life even though they have never comtributed one thing to LSU besides the bitching, moaning and complaining about anything that doesnt go their way.

They belittle teenagers who actually love LSU because they arent perfect and dont win every game played by 100 points. They berate other fans because their lives are a pathetic mass of nothingness and they hate being miserable alone.

They came to be LSU fans because the winning tradition of LSU made them think their lives had some purpose, well heres a news flash, it doesnt.

Get back on the bandwagon and get your fair weather asses away from anything that is LSU. You are stinking up the place and trashing up the neighborhood.

Heres to you Austin
Thanks for being part of something special....

Great Post. Im not particularly fond of Nola but he is a kid, lay off of him. And as for K-Mitch he is a projected first rounder and should be playing.

Amen to that!

I just hope the best for him. We know he has potential. I just hope his career isn't a bashfest.

yeah Kared Mitchell should bat vs. lefties even if he has HORRIBLE at bats, b/c he's projected to be a 1st rounder.

Baseball players need at bats to get in a groove. It's not his fault he was inserted in the middle of SEC play. Let him get his timing down against real pitching and see what he can do.

i love nola, he's a slick fielder, he works the count well, we have a shot at a double play now, and he really hits the ball hard just at people, he will get better and yes he is only a freshman so i support him and the tigers and hope we kill south carolina today!!!!

Nola really has hit the ball hard a lot and had some bad luck...but he definitely makes contact and has gotten a lot of RBIs because of that

i like him in the lineup

There are a number of former first rounders platooning in the majors. Sitting him down against lefties is not an indictment of his immense skills. Just that someone on the bench may have more success against a lefthander.

Def in the top 3 all around...he should be starting every game not matter who is pitching...as you can see that's whats been happening and will continue to happen for the remainder of his career at LSU

I don't live on TD like some, so I missed the Nola bashing. I agree with this post. In fact, I'm actually surprised that it was needed. Have the idiots who are bashing him actually watched him play ss, or do they just catch on TV on occasion and/or listen on the radio? He's an incredible talent! Does his BA stink right now? Sure, but don't expect that to continue indefinately. The more ABs he gets, the better he'll be.
