Why would cubs fans want to win back to back World Series. If cubs turn into the evil empire then the that entire 108 years of cubs history will be meaningless.

This is one of the dumbest sports comments I've ever read.

That's a common reply in reference to the current champions.

I've been a Cubs fan since before the Internet even existed. Don Zimmer was the manager. Mark Grace and Ryne Sandberg were my favorite players. Shawn Dunston was the shortstop. He had a small group of fans that held up the "Shawn-o-meter" with his average on it every time he finished an at-bat. Google that and see if you can find it. I doubt it. I can tell you tons of stuff about the Cubs you can't find on the 'net. I grew up watching them on WGN when you could hardly find anyone else on TV but the Braves on TBS. Convinced? I'm definitely not a bandwagon fan. If I was, I certainly wouldn't be a Pelicans fan. Same with the Saints prior to the Superbowl.

But anyway, back to Bregman... I really do hope he does well, and if the Cubs don't win it again, I'd like him to get a ring.
