I hope he does well, but I'm a Cubs fan. I always have been and always will be.

He didn't play the whole season. Was called up toward the end of the season. This is his first full season--so it's still called his rookie season.

You can call it what you want but he is not considered a rookie by mlb or actually anyone. Don’t post about something you know nothing about. Also literally zero people call it his rookie season.....because it’s not.

You actually do have to play “x” amount of games to be considered a rookie. I do believe this is technically his rookie season. Who cares...LETS GEAUX STREAUXS

Yea he played that amount of games last year. I’m not guessing here.

It’s not games played , it’s number of official at bats .

On top of having enough at bats he had enough service time last year to not be a rookie off of service time. I wasn’t trying to act like a know it all, the dude was just saying some false info and I wanted To clear it up like you did.

Pretty sure it's at-bats and pretty sure exceeded it. If he's not eligible to win ROY--and he's not--he's not a rookie.

It’s at bats, innings pitched, or service time(time on a mlb roster).

Bregs lost rookie status on at bats and service time(although service time was technically made for relievers who wouldn’t hit inning marks for obvious reasons).

I was wrong. 2016 was his rookie season! I’ll take a pass on that. Who cares he just crushed one to dead center near the warning track.
