I just want him to stop chasing popups 100 feet into center field.

Not trying to be a jerk here, but he (OP) is saying that Bregman could potentially be the best SS (short stop) in LSU history.

In the title of the thread. Again, not trying to be a jerk or anything so don't take it the wrong way.

I understand but I was just wondering what some of u guys thought about placing value on a dominant pitcher compared to a excellent position player. I didn't want to start a thread on this cause I feel it does not deserve one.

It depends. You can win games with an Ace but you can't win a Championship without a bat.

It is one of those tough to answer questions.

I love when he got the crowd cheering last night when he got on base. That was awesome. He simply waved his hands to tell the crowd to make noise and the 11,000 followed suit!

Yep. You could just feel it was game over - right there. It felt like a Tiger Stadium moment.

Neither Nola nor Bregman have done anything in the NCAA tournament on the big stage in Omaha. I am waiting for how they do in the clutch to see who is better. Nola didn't look like much in his first game in our push towards Omaha.

Too many errors the last two games... second best behind Walker

come again? 7-IP 0 earned runs isn't much to you?

In the most important game of the season he single-handedly kept us in it after that abortion of a 1st inning & allowed our bats to to chip away at the deficit. Case could be made for regional MVP.

I wish he would have been able to play 2B...which is his natural position and most likely his position in the Majors. Maybe next year with Jones leaving, he slides over to 2B and Ibarra slides back to SS.

He also has 265 At Bats in 2013, most AB for an LSU player since 2009. The record for AB in a season is 293 held by Ryan Patterson in 2004.

I would like him to be more patient at the plate.

Bregman is awesome, but he needs to let the outfielders do their job. Not only did he and raph get hurt, it has caused confusion on a couple of plays that could cost us against better teams.

Best hitting shortstop. I don't think he plays the position as well as Nola did in 2009.

He was easily the player of TE game. What game did you watch?

He weathered the errors and high pitch count early on and cruised the last 5 or 6 innings. Not only did he save the bullpen but held them down for us to come back.

As for Bregman, he's the best player on the team. Things like taking those ground balls after the game and pumping the crowd up. He's the best player and leader of the team as a freshman. He's special
