but it appears that there's a nice stretch along College Ave. just off the Lawrence University campus.

Only been to Appleton a couple times, but this is the best spot.

College Ave is the spot in Appleton. Also, the liquor store Flanagan's nearby is a good spot for booze - if you want to mess with the mail in rebates you can get some good deals.

I remember that from when I was a kid and we went back to the weddings for my cousins in my mom's small farm town. Wedding, then a couple hours at the bar, then the reception. Usually it was because the bride and groom would be taking pictures so the adults would have to find something to do.

I'm mostly concerned with having a 6 pack to drink before gameday starts

Better pace yourself.

Every wedding in Wisconsin has been this way that I have been to.

Isn't that standard everywhere?

Appleton - Flanagins is okay in a pinch but is expensive. If you can, just hit up Woodman's grocery store. Their liquor section is much, much bigger and easily has the cheapest prices. Note that they only take cash and debit cards though.

Are the shuttles that run from Appleton to the stadium on gameday? If so, how do you go about securing a spot?

Btw what I meant by that was to drink before college gameday. Which starts at like 8AM. That's not for my entire day lol. I'm heading to a tailgate with more alcohol after that.

The downside is that shuttles that leave from places like The Bar will leave you with only a couple hours of tailgating before kickoff. I suppose that's enough time... for normal fan bases.

That being said, Appleton will be wild on Friday night, Saturday morning, and Saturday night.

I'm flying. So I'm buying a small one as my personal item and my clothes in my backpack.

Wait, you are checking an ice chest? Just buy a styrofoam one when you land.

There's not enough time in between landing and traveling to Green Bay to do a lot of shopping. There's pretty cheap personal sized ice chests on Amazon I could just fit into my carry on. I'll be getting to Green Bay at midnight at the earliest and waking up at the crack of dawn for gameday. I'm not trying to make any extended shopping trips. I was hoping to just make a quick run to a CVS or wherever they're allowed to sell alcohol in wisconsins, stock up for pre College Gameday and then head to my tailgate around 11 (which will already be stocked)

Every gas station sells beer, most sell liquor as well. Cool fact for those with families going, in Wisconsin children under 21 are allowed to be served as long as they are with their parents (and at the bars discretion). Probably won't let it fly at the beer gardens on gameday but if you go out to eat the night before or something you can buy your teenagers a beer or three. Only in Wisconsin.

Also if you don't want to look like a total hoser brandy is the drink of choice round here.
