AL.com examines Bama's recruiting prowess in LA.
Not sure LSU even pursued some of these kids

There is more talent in LA than LSU can offer.

If that sorry-arse state was so great they wouldn't have to come to Louisiana to recruit in the first place.

So, Alabama has signed 12 players out of Louisiana in Coach Saban's 9 years at Alabama and the paper writes a BIG article about it?

I think the only one we truly pushed for (and lost) was Cam. Tony Brown was kind of a WTF type deal.
I'll tell you one thing, we win on Saturday and a lot of that "momentum" that Bama built recruiting in our back yard dies instantly.

The tide is changing.

He probably forgot (blocked out) Collins...otherwise he's correct, LSU didn't fully pursue the others.

What do you expect from a coach who established HS coaching relationships & won a NC while he was head coach at the states flagship university? It was a perfect storm for BAMA. For LSU to keep pace on the recruiting front is a great testament to Miles, Wilson & the TAF.

Lsu doesn't recruit out of state?

Saban doesn't recruit Louisiana because he has to, he does it because he can

None of these "misses" really hurt anything. Losing Fournette would've been devastating.

Eta: Can we send these mother frickers back to the SECr please??

Bama is clearly in EVERYBODYS (except for LSUs team) head and its fricking comical

People setting the stage for 'what if's' for an LSU team that hasn't lost yet

People crying about the CFP rankings

Excuses already piling up...

This place is terrible, and I'm going to do my best to stay out of here until we beat those clowns

I didn't follow recruiting back then but I get the feeling that we pushed and thought he was ours until he announced otherwise on TV.

I'm sure we offered the others, but weren't really destroyed when they picked bama.

Kind of like Carter this year. He'd probably still be a take if he decided to stay but we're not fighting over him. If he goes to Bama, so be it.

Lawrence and Moses (when the time comes) would be REAL noteworthy pulls for Bama. The others were just filler.
Lawrence will decide on the good guys after we win on Saturday.
And Moses will carry on the #7 tradition.
