We offered him late, and then Clemson offered him later and he chose clemson

You could argue that he felt slighted because of Cam Akers

But really you know who was slighted?

Alabama Scored more against A&M than Clemson did, but that game was never close, and Clemson was playing 2nd and 3rd string in the 3rd quarter. A&M never scored until the last drive of the game against Clemson's backups. Clemson plays more 2nd and 3rd string players than any team in the country so that they are prepared for the end of the season and the starters are as rested as possible.

Burrow was in halfway through the 4th quarter against Oklahoma. Clemson would have had him and most of the starters sitting on the bench after the first drive of the 3rd.

The Clemson offense didn't look stellar against OSU, but everyone seems to forget that Higgins was out the entire 1st half and wasn't really all there until the 4th quarter. Ross was in and out of the game fighting injury. Having those two out of the game takes a ton of stress off of the opposing defense. How would LSU have done against Alabama or Auburn without Chase and with Jefferson at 60%?

I'm expecting a great game, and it really comes down to the LSU offense vs the Clemson defense in the redzone. Whoever wins that battle will probably win the game. I have no idea what to expect out of this game, but I think it will be a much better matchup than many here seem to believe.

Etienne is much better all-around than Harris. Other than that I’d say Bama has the edge everywhere else.

All Clemson heard last year was that Alabama was the best team to ever play college football. Clemson had no chance to win.. much less compete. How did that work out for them? The fact is that over the past 5 years the only game where Clemson didn't have a realistic chance to win in the 4th quarter was the playoff game against Alabama when we didn't have a quarterback that could throw a decent forward pass.

LSU is amazing this year, but Clemson has played plenty of amazing teams over the past 5 years. This team knows how to win and is managed to be successful in the post season. Does that mean Clemson will win? Nope. But there is no counting them out until the clock hits 0:00.

I think some of these points can be debated except one, bama had one of the best WR corps I've ever seen. The entire depth chart was made up of some bad dudes.

Clemson has good WRs but they are no comparison.

I agree. Higgins and Ross are good, but tall and quite a bit slower. I think one is a 4.7 and one is a 4.9. Our DB's are gonna be on them like blankets, I don't think we have to be worried about getting beat deep one on one too much.

Bro....you sir are full of shite. Lawrence played the entire AtM game, he was never benched for the backup. Tua also played the entire game. Burrow however did not play the last 3 series of the AtM game. Burrow has not played in many 4th quarters and missed part of several 3rd quarters as well.

You’re not going to hear anything form me that Clemson will be easy or doesn’t deserve being in the NC. The post I responded to was comparing Clemson’s offense this year and Bama’s offense this year. I disagreed that Harris was better all around than Etienne. I do think the rest of the skill players a Bama are better including the QB. I’m not saying by a wide margin either. It’s like comparing Jordan, Kobe and Lebron. They’re still the top 3 and it’s not a very large margin. It will be a battle. Clemson is the real deal and we’re comparing very minimal differences.
