Per Robert Smith, I guess scoring 6 points and getting inside the 25 yard line one time is moving the ball very well, what a joke.

Yeah I'm confused at the definition of "well".
They got no where near the end zone. The best field position they had all night was in overtime and they still couldn't do anything.

they didnt move crap.
they had to resort to putting in a db to throw a pass. that should tell you all you need to know.

What you stated tells us nothing about how well or not well a team moved the ball.
What difference does it make to you what Robert Smith says? Does everyone have to agree with LSU fans about LSU?

Bama had Less than 300 yards. Lsu rushed for more yards. Lsu had 3 busted coverages that added up to 60 yards for bama. Lsu could have played better on defense.

I heard Joey Galloway talking about how good of a game TR had against LSU. He conveniently left out TR's stats in the second half of the game.
I have yet to hear anyone on ESPN mention that Alabama got into the red zone once. I'm not holding my breath on hearing that though.

If you take away a couple of facemask penalties on LSU, two of their first half drives would probably have much different outcomes.

They must have been watching a different game. I don't recall them getting inside LSU's 30 while LSU got inside theirs 2 or 3 times.

This. At the end of regulation he got tackled behind the line several times.
And Geno Smith had a lot of yards - and left just as much a loser as TR.

I know TR had 20 carries for 98 yds rushing at one point late in the 4th and finished with 23 ad 89.
As a team I think Alabama had 180 or so yards mid way thru the 2nd Q and had less than 120 from that point. That seems to be a recurring theme for the LSU defense lately, they give a few yards early, but get better as the game wears on.

They did move the ball well, but not to any success. It doesn't matter how many yards you get on LSU because we don't care about that statistic. What our defense focuses on is to prevent the opposition from reaching the endzone and getting the ball from them.

Bama had 114 of 295 (or nearly 40%) yards in the 1st quarter. They moved it well for 1 quarter where the home team should have the advantage.

How about looking at the title of this thread, that would be a good place to start.
We shut down the success he had in the first half, thus reducing his yards;moving the ball. Moreover, that is relevant to what the OP was saying in his quote from moron boy, if we shut down their bread and butter that is TR, they don't move the ball as effectively. Sure, they have other RB's and AJ threw a few times but TR is their go to guy.
Get it now?
