The injuries have truly hurt.
Mett is still maturing and raw.
Injuries aside the oline misses Ben W.
Honey Badger swagger is also missing.
Off season conditioning was NOT the same as last year.
Youth abounds.
Les is a good coach and the play calling is conservative to prevent catastrophe......it really could get bad fast against top tier Sec Squads if he gambled. I do agree, though, quick slants and TEs need to be utilized with 9 in the box.

This team has had it's reality check. No more "a W is a W" because an L is an L now. I will scream and go nuts every Sunday out and have my doubts, but this young battered Tiger team really needs its fans now. It is time.....as angry as everyone is, get past it because your anger only hurts them. And, make no mistake, they do read TD.

ETA: No one and I mean NO ONE wants to win more than those players.....always keep that in mind.

I agree Charles. Sometimes you just don't have the horses. We don't. On the offensive side of the ball anyway. The next 4 weeks are not going to be fun IMHO.

agree with all of that. What is you opinion of rolling out Mett on second and goal from the 4 yard line?

I agree with what you said, but the offensive scheme is atrocious. Absolutely atrocious.

Would have had a better chance with Stephen Hawking at QB on that play.

What's your opinion of not checking with me on a 3rd and medium in the 2nd half and watching your QB hand it off into the teeth of a 5 man front and 8+ in the box?

This shite keeps happening and we don't try to do anything about it.

It's time to turn the page offensively. Coach D should go. Krags should get reassigned. Hire Monken and an OL Coach. Offer Miles his job on the condition that his days calling the shots in the offensive staff meeting rooms are done and gone.

My agreement stops here. I'd prefer to say next, not that "Les is a good coach" but rather "Les can sometimes be a good coach, but sometimes his play-calling is an enigma."

How are teams with far less talent able to run an offense when they have injuries? I agree injuries have hurt but we do not have a want to be a more balanced offense. Offense 101 is to attack what the defense give you...we don't do that.

was supposed to be a throw in the flat to the FB/TE who got tackled as he was pulling across the back of the OL from the left. Play got blown up by Florida. Hats off to them.

Reminded me of when we used to try and run Charles Scott around the edges. Its like we have the most predictable offense in the world combined with "they will never expect us to do this.......lets try it!!!!"

Assuming you are talking about Stud (is that his cup size?)

If so, I approve of this message. And they can send Ensminger with them.

Even so, you are relying on your immobile QB to make a play with his feet, even if it isn't to run all the way to the end zone. Why take that risk there at 2nd and goal from the 4? I mean would anyone bitch if we tried to run Copeland a couple of times from there?

Reality is that LSU ranks on average 90th in the NCAA from the start of the 2009 season through this morning in total offense.

This is a recurring pattern and this was supposed to be the year everything fell into place. If the defense is not as strong as it has been over this same period, LSU is a 7-5 or 6-6 team over this span. We all know this is not acceptable.

They did Saturday. By hardly throwing a 2nd half pass.

Open your fricking eyes man! We called a play in a goal-to-go situation where we asked our QB to do what is the weakest aspect of his game (throw on the run) and asked him to throw it to either our TE or a BACKUP WALK ON Fullback.

Don't tip your cap to Coach Boom. Berate our coaches for an abject failure in calling the best plays available to put our players in position to succeed!

As politely as I can say it, I disagree with accepting mediocrity from any aspect of our team. But ESPECIALLY from the coaching staff.

It is beyond belief that it seems you will be just as complacent with our performance as our head coach is.

They don't pound the ball into the strength of the defense either.

A coach getting paid 4 million a year with a highly paid staff should have the answers. We have been shut out on offense in 11 of the last 16 qtrs against SEC teams!

Bottom line. If you cant run nothing else will work. Watching the 2007 against Fla play calling
aside RP 11 helped near the goal line and in short yardage situations with Flynn not as mobile. Bolden is an experienced D 1 QB that does not need a grasp of the entire playbook but just situation plays. Use your resources at every position. If we are smart and creative we are back in the hunt.

I say let shep play some wildcat every now and then and actually have him throw a pass or 2. I guarantee it is better then what we are doing now.
