Does sound a bit hypocritical of them.

If you want to keep the money in Baton Rouge, yeah I agree.

They get a nice check though without hassle and expenses of putting on a game, they probably net just as much or more for neutral site and it's a lot harder to get the home and home matchups.

FWIW, Neutral site games are a TV revenue source for the whole conference. They also extend the school "brand." Little bit of a double edge sword

Yep playing games in Houston and Dallas are good for recruiting, and help keep out of state alumni involved in the program.

I'd rather schedule home and home with good teams, but if the choice is neutral site vs a good team or a home and home vs a cupcake, I'll take the neutral site.

They don't care as long as they get their piece of the pie.

I'm sure that has a little to do with the summer baton rouge had, but they make these schedules years ahead of time. Hindsight is 20/20. Doesn't mean we have to start giving up scheduled home games for other athletic departments incompetence.

It's called Return on Investment (ROI). LSU plays these neutral site games because it keeps the alumni base involved and markets the school's brand across the country. The trip to Lambeau Field generated huge interest here in Houston and that, in turn, generates more interest in going back to home games in Baton Rouge.

I didn't say shite about it not being good for LSU, just for them to sit there and talk about getting our home game back is just hypocritical as shite.

Basically no one takes revenue from the city of BR...unless it helps the athletic program make more money.

I mean i get the neutral site games and I live in Houston so its a shorter drive for me, still its political bullshite.

This is the most retarded thread started this year. And that's a real accomplishment considering this year.
