LSU is trying to schedule a neutral site game with an BCS opponent in 2010. The game would either be in Texas or Georgia...two recruiting hotbeds...LSU is host WVU that year and they go on the road to play Florida, Auburn and Arkansas. Do you think this would be good for LSU?

I have always been for a game in Houston.

Personally, I think it would be tough for LSU to handle two BCS opponents on top of a rugged SEC slate. I like the idea of playing one major BCS opponent, a decent mid-major and the rest scrubs/in-state school.

He mentioned that...said it could be dallas, houston or maybe atlanta

if we are as good as we should be by that time, i dont think we should have too much of a problem with all of these very good teams. I think it would be great for recruiting though.

Houston makes the most sense to me.
(But I am just thinking of myself first)

I would LOVE for LSU to play the Aggies in Reliant.

Great idea no matter where they play it.

Apparently Les wants more neutral site games

He said it would be a BCS school and a very atractive opponent. This is just a shot in the dark, but could be Oklahoma State in Dallas? That certainly would be interesting.

i can't stand neutral site games

it wouldn have to be somewhere really big, like the new Cowboys stadium
im not sure reliant seats enough to make it worth our while

According to Ausberry, Miles is a big fan of the neutral site game and the big BCS opponent home/home. ESPN would own the rights to us playing in either Atlanta or Houston. Bama and Clemson did make a ton off of the deal.

LSU-OU in the new Cowboys Stadium would be awesome.

I am all for scheduling another BCS opponant. Don't think it hurts LSU at all to pick up a mid level BCS team, and in fact probably prepares them better for the conference slate than playing ULL or Tech.

"Trying" is Verge's favorite word. He is a failure when it comes to scheduling.

How about on in Minneapolis?
Tigers vs. The Golden Gophers...I like it!

Of course Verge would say that. That way when it doesn't happen at least they can say "we tried."
That said, as long as we have one mid-level BCS non-conference opponent every season to go along with the Louisiana cupcakes and our SEC schedule, I'm content.
I just hate the games against San Jose, North Texas, Middle Tennessee, Troy, etc. At least with the Louisiana schools there is at least some level of intrigue in the game.
