re: A&M Charging $100 for LSU game @ College Station

Kyle Field has some of the worst seating for visitors that I've ever sat in. Both ends of the horseshoe face the temp bleachers on the open end. You look straight ahead and you face the side of the bleachers. The seats are low and you're WAY beyond the endzone so basically, you can't see shite. After the game this year, there will be a whole lot of bitching from LSU fans about this, trust me. You heard it here first.

Yeah the temp bleachers in the endzones are much better seats than those you are talking about that extend past the endzone where you look at the side of the temp bleachers.

The sections on both ends of the horseshoe are for visitors. You can, literally, not see anything for 100 bucks. As bad as it looks in the picture, it's way worse in person. Half of the nearest end zone is not visible from those seats.

A&M is in the process of drawing up plans for bowling off that endzone, which obviously can't come soon enough for those wanting to actually see the game as a visitor. Those seats are horrible.

Those seats are the worst in the SEC by far. If visitors happen to get lucky and get tickets in the "closer to Jesus" section in the other endzone, they shouldn't complain. At least you can see the game from there. You literally cannot see a thing from those end section seats in the open end zone. I wont even consider going to Kyle Field until the renovations are complete. There's gonna be a whole lot of bitching and complaining from SEC fans making their first visit. It ain't gonna be pretty.

Those end zone bleachers appear to be well behind the end zone, so I'm not sure how they'd obstruct your view ...
Posted on 3/20/12 at 3:54 pm to Smoke Ring
Well...believe what you want but those are the worst seats I've ever sat in. You can't see shite. The seats in those last sections face the side of the end zone bleachers. Plus the incline of the bottom deck is not a steep incline...

That one A&M ticket will cost about the same as my student season tickets....

My condolences for those who draw tickets in sections 100 and 149. It is indeed a terrible view, although I had a good time watching the Aggies beat the Longhorns from row 1 of section 100 in 1979.
There are several Big XII stadiums that have seats somewhat like this, owing to their original construction with a track. The end sections at Boulder are every bit as bad as those at Kyle. Kansas's lower tier is a virtual dopelganger for the original first deck of Kyle. Even the stadium in Austin has some low sideline seats well beyond the end of the south endzone.
The good news is, as mentioned above, once we do our renovation, these seats will be gone, and you may only have to endure these seats once. This will be Missouri's third consecutive year to play at Kyle Field--I bet Missouri struggles to sell 200 tickets through their allotment as a consequence. Once you get above 1500 or so visitor's tickets, all the rest will probably be at the top of the north endzone--very high, but at least you will see all the action. That's where most LSU fans will be sitting.

Not even I can hate on the aggies for their reacation to the expected supply and demand for this game...
I do hate to see college football regular season tickets at home fields become this high though...
I think Jerry World prices for teams with large fan bases are an effing crime and if home field tickets are starting to cost this much it will validate and and escalate what's going on.
I don't follow aTm to much...when are your stadium renovations going to begin?

400 bucks for family of 4 to get into a football game.
Ya if it is a family thing it is very expensive but whenever I do games it is just me with my friends and we all pay for our own tickets. I mean I paid $1800 for my ticket to the BCSNCG and that wasn't that too bad considering everything but there is no way I would have taken my family and paid $10,000 for the trip. They have to all stay home for football games.

After bitching about the Ticket Prices @ Jerry World and the fact that they couldn't sell all of their tickets, they couldn't raise the prices for the Arkansas game. They have a good losing streak started there too.

I went to look on hotels.com to see what was available the day after the schedule was out and cringed at the shitty hotel offerings. So I am guessing you have to rent a house like in Oxford for big games?

Aggie's and Arkansa pay $300 per ticket at Jerry world for 70% of the seats and I have not hears the razerbacks complain. The onghorns have paid $100 a game for several years now at Kyle field. How is this a problem for lsu?

Well, the first is at an off campus venue. This is typical. The second has nothing to do with comparison prices in the sec.

Have a quick look at Visitors seats @lsusports.net and compare them to what A&M offers to visitors...maybe then you will understand...educate yourself PRIOR to giving us your one sided A&M version !
LSU give a few THOUSAND seats lower level corner to EACH visiting team...a few thousand more are on the last few rows of SIDELINE upper deck west. Trust me IF we get shite tickets you'll get the same tratment going forward !

Some of you are reading that tweet wrong. Those aren't all the A&M games. They are all the LSU away games.
$55 is the price Arkansas is charging LSU fans for the Arkansas/LSU game. I think that's a good deal. Our general prices are lower, but our profits are top notch anyway. 132 luxury suites help pay the bills.
