*student's perspective

Maybe you should leave early to go study.

I feel bad for you, then. Honestly. I know I'd be upset if I was asked to leave a game early to accommodate family members that didn't want to enjoy the game.

Would love for there to be a rewards system for those who stay until the end.

Not to be an arse, but isn't being able to see the Tigers play in Tiger Stadium for a discounted price a good reward?

I didn't go to LSU, but I've been a fan for a long time. I hardly ever get the chance to see a home game, maybe 1 game every other year. I wish students that left early would wake up and appreciate the opportunity they have to be able to see every home game in the greatest stadium in college football.

When we left in the middle of the 3rd quarter during a blowout waiting to happen, it was my call.

Me choosing not to leave family sitting in the car at the entrance to my closed-off road (which is literally empty with no cars on it) until midnight while I go get my drink on at Bogies doesn't make me any less of a LSU fan than the now overweight balding fat guy in his 30's who didn't even attend the game whining and bitching from his couch stroking his ego with how much of a super dooper fan he was during DiNardo

I absolutely agree, I guess what I'm getting at is that there should be a punishment or loss of privelage for those who leave soon after kickoff (or halftime of a tied game), as opposed to a reward for those who stay until the end. As I said in my post, we will never have the chance to have season tickets for this cheap again post grad, and for that reason I soak in every second. I was also raised on LSU football, so I realize how lucky I am to be able to attend every home game at such a reduced cost.

Im not surprised we were coming off a national championship and had our best regular season in program history during that time period I wouldn't say this is the case today

Yeah '07 was a National Championship team but 08-10 were pretty bad teams. Yet the crowd never left

This was when I noticed it going down hill during my time there. Every song found a way to incorporate "suck that tiger dick" or "hey baby, will you be my bitch"; and they slowly stopped playing it. FFS if you can't keep to tradition, then why are you here?

It was still a more exciting time period ever since 2011 the program and offense was on decline

So basically the same people that were suggesting people boycott the games earlier in the year are bitching because people are leaving early?

Bunch of damn fair-weather fans.

You're taking this way too literally. You had family obligations. Fine. Nobody is calling you out specifically. There are, what, 8k in the student section? I doubt the 4k that left early had the same obligations.

Also, I clearly wasn't suggesting you leave your family stranded. I'm referring to the students that leave early so they can get home then go to the bar. If the game ends at 10, students can walk to the bars and be there by 10:30. Plenty of time to party.

ok, so what are you student's leaving early for? What are you trying to get accomplished?

Fans wanted to 'boycott' until something changed with the team leadership; it did.

So you are admitting to being a spoiled bitch? If you can't watch 40-10 victories every week, then you won't watch?

To be fair, this has always happened. I went to games in the student section as a high school kid. I remember the band playing the full Tiger Rag and students chanting a-hole a-hole. By the time I was a sophomore in 06, they stopped playing it.

Back in the 70's, all you had to do, to get in the stadium, was show your student id. As students leave, allow those with id's to go in.

I should've mentioned a 5 minute drive if you catch all green lights.

Tiger Stadium to Ben Hur Road isn't an easy walk by any stretch. I learned that carrying a styrofoam ice chest to campus for the Alabama game.
