According to Landry, the purpose of the meeting was to tell Orgeron to hand over control of the offense and defense to coordinators Matt Canada and Dave Aranda.

You expect Canaranda to yell Geaux Tigers at every sideline reporter?

Most coaches allow their coordinators to run the defense and offense.

O does a lot more than that. He also tells the press that the players did a tremendous job. And that they had a tremendous week of practice. And that, generally, things are pretty tremendous.

Alleva is trying to squeak out 8 wins. 8 wins gets 0 though this year and makes it easier to fire 0 next year with a lower buyout.

I guess Alleva also thinks that if the Tigers start winning that 0 will heed his own recommendations that got him hired, allow his coordinators to coach.

There’s people that think this turmoil is over after the Florida win. It was just a band aid to cover the big arse scab that is this regime

Dabble in the offense? No. That's actually not what we wanted him to do. We wanted him to bring in a new offensive mind and stay the frick away from him.

there is a difference between wanting Les to take his foot of the offense's brakes and telling O to not actually do any coaching at all on either side of the ball.

And that's the thing. We don't want O to do any coaching on any side of the ball. We don't want him here at all. But since he's here, we want him to stay away from these coordinators as much as possible.

Now if we had a coach who could contribute something, then yeah. Go ahead and dabble. Saban can dabble if he wants. Not O.
