He made some bad calls, so what? Is Les the only coach that's ever made bad calls? He is judged to an impossible standard.

Why would LSU fans complain about the mistakes of another teams coaches?

If I had to chose a replacement Dan Mullen and Kevin Sumlin would be in the conversation. Jim Harbaugh would be my top desire, but not likely to happen.

I don't want him gone, but we might be 2nd place an awful lot. The important games are the ones to come out first

He's 4-4 against Saban, which means Saban is 4-4 against Les. Spurrier was 5-8-1 against Bowden by contrast.

and BTW..... we had a coach fired simply because of not beating Bama....
he also had a good record..
His name was Charles McClendon

Miles has most wins against Bama of any LSU coach. McClendon only beat them twice in twice as much time as Les, he was also going 7-4, 6-5 toward the end. LSU will be favored in our remaining games. If we win out that's 11-2. top 5-7 ranking.

They go head to head each year - last year was the mirror image of this one - Les outcoached Saban, etc, etc. and the supposedly 'better team' lost on home field in an incredibly hard fought game. Now we're playing it the other way around.

If we get that every year, hard fought games played for number one in the country, I'll take it. A 50-50 record in that situation is pretty damn good.

Besides, while Les has his issues, I like him a helluva lot better than Saban.

At 4 million bucks a year in a talent rich state?

I think a lot of competent people would be interested.

sadly, not a troll.

what I truly believe is best for the LSU football program. Or we can cut Miles salary $2 million per year and I will be perfectly happy with his peach bowl football program

I'm saying last year, LSU fans believed Miles outcoached Saban. This year, (many) LSU fans believe Saban outcoached Miles (because Miles made trick play calls, etc). And clearly we lost the coaching battle on the last defensive series (Chavis was calling that, I presume).

All in all, I think coaches and players went all out on Sat night and all in all, I think they did a damn good coaching job. Perfect? No. But if we are playing for number one every year, we will win some and lose some - some chances will work and some won't. I do not expect anyone to go 100% in a battle of 1 vs 2 teams year in and year out.

Miles is a horrible gameday coach. In pressure situations he cannot think ... especially late in the ball game. He has shown time and time again he cannot think on his feet when the pressure is on. He is a good recruiter, but he is not a good field general. He is the last man I would want leading troops into battle after the battle was engaged. The player with the hot hand was Mett Saturday, why not at least try one short throw for a first down and win the game.

Why do you try a fake field goal with 4th and 12 ... Reeeeeally?
I do not know a decent coach in Junior High that would have tried that stupid play. Facts are facts ... We have just as good a group of players as any team in the country. We do not have a coach on the field to match the talent.

I don't think either of them outcoached the other in the last 2 regular season games. Winning doesn't mean you outcoached the other coach. 1-9 was a different story but the rematch wasn't fair to Les b/c bama had revenge and nothing to lose.

I agree with that - these teams and programs and coaches are both at the top of the game -LSU / Miles is just as good as Bama / Saban in my eyes. And the rematch should never have happened...

You must have hated last year right? Miles is a peach bowl coach that went 13-0 against the toughest schedule in the country

You are a perfect example of the worst this board has to offer

This statement is incorrect sir. I live in North La. and don't hate Miles. I think he's made some bone headed calls at times and wish he would open up the offense more like was done Sat. night but hey it is what it is. He's in control not me so I just watch the games and pull for the Tigers as I have done all my life.

No. You don't get it. You are being a bad fan by saying that Coach Miles is 3-4 against Saban.
