I see all these people posting and complaining about Miles and for some reason no one in North LA can stand the guy, but.....

Who do you think we could possibly replace Miles with????

Is there any other coach out there right now who you think is gonna be a 50/50 winner against Saban like Miles is? Is gonna go toe-to-toe with Saban in recruiting? Is gonna be able to wear a wind breaker in 80 degree weather??

I don't think so! Saban is gone and he's never coming back...but Miles has proven he can compete with him yearly, and that's good enough for me.

So STFU and quit your whining.

having a few criticisms about his game management is not akin to wanting him gone.

Although I question a few of the calls last Sat. night (particularly the fake field goal), I was happy to see "the mad hatter" again taking risks and not holding back the offense. I'm happy to have him as our coach.

I had an argument with an LSU fan after the game about this. He said Miles is the dumbest coach in America. I said who could do better than what he's done? He said "SABAN!!!" I said "well Saban isn't an option so who that's available could do any better?" to which he replied "Anyone could do better than that jackass". He told me that I may be happy playing for 2nd place but he isn't.
Point is, there is no reasoning with these idiots. People who live in the real world know that we have a good coach. Yes I think Saban is a better overall coach. Yes I wish he never left LSU. But I don't think any other coach in the country (besides Saban, who isn't an option) could do better than Les Miles.

+1

and to the original poster...
You are sooo much into kissing Miles A - -, that you want to interpret any criticism to an extreme...if that's convenient for you, go ahead.

HE IS NOT A GOD, HE IS AN EXTREMELY WELL PAID EMPLOYEE, who made some mistakes in doing his job on Saturday....and yes this cost us a possible NC game and about $3MM.

Congratulations on having such an original thought. Nobody in the history of Tigerdroppings has ever posted such a profound question.

And it is not akin to being a "hater" except in the very limited perceptions of some dim bulbs here on the Rant.

I want him to do more than "prove LSU can compete" with Alabama. I want LSU to win games like Saturday's, not just compete. I want *CLM to be the kind of coach who can not only get the team ready mentally and physically to play their hearts out against both the Alabamas and the Towsons of the world - I want him to be the kind of coach who helps the team "close the deal" in situations like we faced last Saturday. I want him to be the kind of coach who does not allow his coordinators to play not to lose or go "soft/prevent" to protect a razor-thin margin. I know Coach Miles can be that kind of coach; I've see him do it before. But I know he is also the kind to let what happened Saturday just "happen" and seem to be clueless as to the why of it.

But no, I don't hate him. The fact is, I like him. I just don't like a loss like Saturday or 1/9. He can do better. LSU deserves better. I want him to wake up.

Dude, NO ONE is calling Miles a god. He's one of the silliest bastards I've ever seen! But the dude wins more football game then most of the coaches out there. People are under some delusion that LSU is such a juggernaut now that anyone could captain this ship to the MNC each year. That's BS. I was there in the 90's. I remember what it was like to be excited about the frickin Indy Bowl in Shreveport.

I did not mind the on-side kick at the beginning of the 2nd half.
when you weigh the odds and the possible benefits, it is a good gamble.

but the fake field goal on the 47...really ???
stupid,...it would surprise no one.
we were 7 - 3 and could have gone to 7-6.
Furthermore, we could have kicked off to Bama and given them a longer field to travel.

Nobody.

Coach Miles is the best that LSU can do. This is as good as it gets. Tiger Fans: be happy and be silent.

Many treat him as if he is a God and as soon as a small critique appears, they start defending.

He is responsible for a good record,
but he is also responsible for some shameful and stupid moves...I can admit to both, some want to ignore the negative.

why do people revert back to talking about the 90's and such?

pretty sure we are way past that now.

I agree. LSU fans need to realize that THIS IS the very highest level of achievement that LSU can attain. This is it -- our highest level of achievement that we can possibly attain.

LSU fans need to shut the hell up and be satisfied with where they are now, because, THIS IS the best that it can and ever will be.

So SHUT THE HELL UP and cheer for Coach Miles and LSU.

I don't want him gone, but we might be 2nd place an awful lot. The important games are the ones to come out first.

Then what is the point of posters like Maximus, LSUsmartass, Cajunrevolution?

He made some bad calls, so what? Is Les the only coach that's ever made bad calls? He is judged to an impossible standard.
