You mean the Lord and Savior that hasn't lost a regular season game in two years and whom 95% of the LSU fan base is secretly wishing was still here?......

How many times have you used this word in the last 2 weeks? Jesus Christ, did you just recently learn it in some vocabulary workbook? Buy a thesaurus. Learn a synonym.

Not really a philisophical question, but YES it is fun as hell.

I think it's a legitimate question.

Just because you think it is legitimate, does not make it one.

Alabama...solid effort for a few quarters,

You do realize we only get four quarters....right? So 3 of 4 is good. To get this straight, looking bad for 1/8 of a game is just too much for you, right?

Probably the worst showing in Tiger Stadium by an LSU team since the Curley Hallman years.

, thanks for the giggle.

Tiger football is the best thing going. Win or lose or dominate or scrape by I love it and would never miss it. So either I am a self loathing bastard like alot on here appear to be, or I am having fun. So YES IT IS FUN.

Grossly mismanaged wealth of OFFENSIVE talent. I think "Cute Crowton" has been watching too many Saints games, because he's running so much stuff out there it's like he's dreaming that Drew Brees is the QB.......

Then why continue to follow it?

You don't see me masturbating with a cheese grader. You know why? Because I'm sure it's no fricking fun.

It's applicable. frick you Carl. Just because someone else has a good argument, you flame. Come up with your own thread about how Richard Murphy should be our next wide receiver.

Here's another word for you, how about blockhead. Miles has a blockhead approach to coaching and LSU football.

No, not being able to finish and hold looks bad, but of course you miss the point. I will give you the argument for more than 1/2 of the game, though.

Agree with this, but it's getting harder and harder.

Coach Miles will always coach as a Big Ten coach and play UGLY Big Ten football as he most puts it "secure victory". This will not be fun unless there is a bowl game to be played and then football is fun again. If teams goes 4-4 in SEC and loses two coordinators in 2 years to ineptness then the O2 is sucked from program.

And this, my friend, is the philosophy and the mindset in a nutshell. The question is, can LSU fans learn to love and accept this or will attendance and interest begin to drop?

I'm going to start another thread today about said incident.

I always have a great time in TS, but it is what you make it.

We make it unbelievably fun.

Seriously, you are posting on a board dedicated to an event you profess is losing its luster and support, because it is no longer "fun"

However, there is record traffic on the board over the last year that is dedicated to this not fun event.

This makes your question silly and not legitimate, only alarmist and reactionary.

But you stated you are no longer having fun, why do you do this to yourself. Get off the board, turn off the tube, park the tailgating gear, burn the LSU garb and move on....it is just that easy. Why do you make yourself miserable?

Ding fricking ding ding ding. We have our winner.

If this football season is that painful to you, go do something else. When fun activities quit being fun, then we should quit doing them.

There's no doubt that even somewhat recently, and in spurts as I CLEARLY state in my opening salvo, that is it HAS been fun and it IS fun. That doesn't mean that is ISN'T fun TODAY and is becoming increasingly LESS FUN. What do you not understand about that? Nuance is your friend.

I will try to do this for the Ole Piss game...again...for the 7th time this year. Will there be another letdown? We'll see.

I haven't read all 5 pages. So, I don't know what the topic has covered. However, for me, I have gotten to where I would much rather to go a road game than to a game in Tiger Stadium. The hassle of traffic, parking, and just logistics of getting to and from the game get worse every year. I sit on the west sidelines and it seems the people around me have no interest in the game. They are there to socialize. Use their cell phones to call their friends to look at them standing on their seats and waving their hand so they "see me". Probably half of the plays in the game, I am having to let someone out to go to the concession stand and then move out of the way when they come back with 4 nachos, 3 hot dogs and 4 large drinks and spill it on everyone all down the row. Or, worse some drunk idiot who is making the entire night a nightmare for everyone aroudn them. This past weekend a drunk idiot on the row in front of us promptly threw up all over the place before the game even began. The drunken, rude behavior has gotten out of hand and it's because we have people there who come to socialize and not cheer for the team. I realize that we're really a victim of success and that is a good thing. I certainly don't want to go back to the Curly/Dinardo days when nobody even cared enough to show up, but I think the University needs to better control the crowd, logistics and game day events. When you go to away games, for the most part, the LSU fans there are knowledgeable and there to cheer for the tigers. I know that that is not true for every fan, but the vast majority of away fans seem much more vocal in their support of the team and attentive to the game and the other schools do a much better job of directing traffic and getting people on and off campus before and after games.

Like I said, I can handle a few losses if I see a team that plays good, solid football, is well coached and executes on the field. If we happen to lose because another team with equal or greater talent can beat us on one play or one drive, I can live with that. You win some, you lose some. I'm more concerned with the quality of football we are seeing, not the W-L column.

I recall a game in 2002, coached by our Lord and Savior Nick Saban, where LSU was shut out by Alabama 31-0. Pretty sure that was post-Hallman. Also, there was a loss to UAB in that time span as well. But you're right, winning a tough game at home after a heartbreaking loss is worse than all that stuff. Oh, and I'm pretty sure Mississippis State won the West in 1998, so you are again mistaken there.

I liked the puppy dog analogy from the TP interview - All teams and puppy shite in the house sometimes...you can tell very easily which dog owners and coaches rub their noses in it and which dont. Saban unequivocally does. Miles may at least try but it sure seems questionable.

Ah, yes, 2007 when LSU won a national title despite losing in completely dominant fashion to two un-ranked BCS opponents. Complete domination wire to wire that season. Good call.
