Because you have posters saying that lsu has been shite since 2011 when we have finished top 15 2 of the last 3 years. They shite on their own program's accomplishments just because they don't like Miles.

praise posters like Dgnx who think that without Les Miles LSU is garbage.

I don't think he has ever said this. If he has then I don't agree with him. If he was trying to say that lsu can't just hire any coach and be as successful as Miles then I do agree with him. Miles is a top 15 coach and it's not debatable.

He just stated that he has no faith in lsu's administration to make a good hire.

So you trust Alleva to make a home run hire?

Sounds like he is a Les Miles fan and not a LSU fan. Guys like that can hit the door with Les Miles after Saturday,

I will stand by the next lsu coach just like I've stood by Miles.

Were you not around for the backlash on here when that raise was announced? Have you not seen the hundreds of posts on here chastising Alleva for putting Lsu in this position?

Who do you think is denying this exactly

So you don't Alleva to make a good decision either then.

Is this really what you're getting at? Good god dude.

Miles has been at Lsu 11 years. He's been contacted by 2 schools in 11 years about job openings. Michigan, his alma-mater, and Arkansas, where he has a long history with the AD. And this can't be proven true or false, but there's a very plausible theory out there that he only used this job to get a raise from Lsu, and had no real interest in ever taking it.

I believe that's it. I'm not aware of any schools that contacted miles about a coaching vacancy. If you have proof others have, please post links here. Here are just some of the schools that have hired coaches in miles tenure:

Auburn x 2
Alabama
Florida x 2
Ole Miss x 2
Mississippi St
Tennessee x 3

And before you think about coming back with something like 'program x is a step down from Lsu, they wouldn't have wasted their time' keep this in mind:

1. All of those schools have their current coaches' salaries at least in the same ballpark as miles
2. Arkansas pursued miles. Texas pursued Saban. Lsu is believed to be pursuing fisher.

Lol at you for thinking Alleva will be the decision maker here. He wasn't allowed to hire the men's basketball coach by himself. What makes you think he will be entrusted with hiring the football coach?

Its more about the talent level of the W's. A coach with 2 and 3 star talent winning 8 to 10 is more impressive than a coach with 4 & 5 star talent.

Miles has 4 and 5 star talent on offense and we continue to finish bottom tier in all of college football and now that Chavis is gone it's obivious the D is headed on a downward spiral as well.

You can't tell these dumbass posters anything. They see another dumbass rantard post something and take it as gospel. I swear most lsu fans actually think we have more talent than Bama wheb facts prove that the talent gap between bama and lsu is bigger than the talent gap between lsu and Ole miss.

You're right Rick. We don't have more talent than Bama,Ole Miss, or AR. So he can't recruit and he can't coach? But we are crazy for wanting change. You're a butt hurt dipshit who likes Miles more than LSU

I look at it in this scenario. LSU football is in the current position of the next time we beat bama the fans will and should rush the field. Think about that for a minute. We have been annihilated so much by bama that we are justified in rushing the field for just beating them. LSU should never be in a situation where rushing the field for winning a regular season game against any opponent is justified.

Les put us in this situation.

Assholes on this board overjoyed at the bama and ole miss losses. Only way they could be happier is with 8 or 10 losses to prove themselves right.

He leaked the firing news to Scott Rabalais. It was part trial balloon (pre-Arky) and part "no going back" - post-Arky.

I wouldn't work for someone who treated my predecessor that way - which is why I think it will be an up and comer or second chance for a "never was" - rather than fantasies like Chip Kelly or Jon Gruden, or the possible but difficult to grasp lateral move by Fisher.

Now 10 isn't good enough. In the toughest division in CFB. I got news for you folks - the next guy is going to win 8 to 10 in most seasons - with an occasional 11 to 13 - if...we're...lucky. So you going to fire the next guy the first time he loses 3 in a row? "Next man up."

He's lost 3, 5, 3. when he was only losing 2 a year, it was still a frustrating experience to watch most of the games. Back then, however, it was still obvious we were a damn strong team. Lately, the longer he's been here, we haven't looked like that.

Bottom line for me, in response to your last quote paragraph, is this: I know we are going to lose games in almost every year. I know there will be up and downs. What I'm not ok with is not believing the coaching staff is doing everything possible to maximize the results given the available resources.

Really? That's strange.

Because according to the heading on that post, I was the person you were responding to...

And the text you quoted in that post was my text...

And my text made no reference of any kind to Alleva's ability to hire someone.

It's funny, you're constantly on here criticizing others for making stuff up. You either can't remember your own posts, or you're too stupid to know what you posted and who you posted it too. Which is it? I guess it really doesn't matter, the end result is the same either way.
