People were making threads on Retig pushing Mett for playing time this time last year if you remember

Got a ton of seasoned coaching veterans and scouts around here, if you haven't noticed.

If i were in the competition, if just aim for being the backup. That automatically makes you the most popular player on the team

As soon as you take a snap everyone thinks you are garbage that cant throw or think, but that backup life is where its at

Harris has a lot to work on and a redshirt would do him a lot of good. I dont see him in the competition much at all

I have a feeling people are going to be surprised to see what Harris is capable of.

Rivers will be the starter come fall... Watch

Comments like this make me dumbfounded. I don't understand why anyone believes he has a chance.

Our incoming QB, Harris will start over Rivers.

This.

I think he will be our most talented QB in the Spring. It's just a matter if he can be consistent enough for the Coaching Staff to trust him enough.

He clearly has the physical tools. Having the mental capacity to step in and start as a true freshman QB in the SEC is a totally different animal. He definitely has a bright future.

A friend of a friend who knows someone on staff said watch out for a surprise QB transferring in to get his masters degree that will have mouths drop open and will start in 2014 until Harris is ready in 2015.

This. Brandon Harris got a huge bump in latest ranking and will be competitive. Coaches will put best chance to win on the field after evaluating all of them.

Jennings is not a dual threat QB!!!!! That's why his bowl game performance was so disappointing. He had plenty of time in the pocket to delivery the ball to two NFL caliber WRs and he couldn't do it.

If you going to have a running QB with Rivers it will be Harris.

At this point i have no idea who will get the job, but i will say that now that Mett is gone, if AJ can't grasp what CC is teaching and separate himself from the others by the spring game, then don't be surprised when one of the other QB's get the job.I know it was one game, but based on the bowl game i'm not betting on AJ being the starter next season.I believe it's wide open.

"the thing is, steve, right now you got ability. but as painful as it may be, ability dont last. and youre days are just about over. now thats a hard mfkin fact of life, but thats a fact of life your arse is gonna have to get realistic about. See, this business is filled to the brim with unrealistic mfkers. Mfkers who thought their arse would age like wine. if you mean it turns to vinegar, it does. if you mean it gets better with age, it dont. Besides, steve, how many more spring games you got in you anyhow? Two? if you was gonna make it, you wouldve made it by now."

Oh well, if he doesn't absolutely murder the competition in his FIRST CAREER START AGAINST A TOP-10 DEFENSE, then we should definitely cut ties. Bring on Harris.

Harris will def not play this year with who is in front of him much less start...he is good but very raw and def will need to have a year or two under Cam Cameron...so my prediction on Harris this year is Red Shirt

A TOP-10 DEFENSE

Iowa dude. It was Iowa. Top Ten is stats. The Big 10 offense is terrible. Don't tell me you didn't notice OBJ yelling at AJ to get the ball up and out sooner. Those WRs were mad during that game.

AJ is young, he could improve. My point is he is not a running QB. So if we are going to send ou Rivers and a dual threat, it is not AJ as he is a pro style QB. It would be Harris.
