You mean that game we got blown out and embarrassed in? The one in which Miles appeared clueless and scared? The one where the QB he forced on the team (despite off the field problems and on the field inadequacy) predictably shite the bed but Miles had no backup plan? Come on man.

Also, if Saban had stayed at LSU and had the same record Miles has had, people would be saying he underachieved given what the expectations were.

The only coach winning more than Miles in this conference, the toughest conference ever, is Saban. And it sure ain't by a wide margin. So unless you are getting Saban himself back in here, why would you change ? Nobody else has proven they could do better.

I don't want any other coach. I don't care anymore, and Miles has proven he can keep the program at a high level despite playing a style of football even his defenders only pretend to like.

I just think people should be honest with themselves about Miles, mainly so we don't keep giving him pay raises every time someone sniffs at him. He has done well, but he hasn't set the world on fire given both what he inherited and the talent that he has brought in. No one in the world knows what a different coach might have done with LSU from 2005 to now, but one season with fewer than 2 losses, 1 national championship with 2 losses, and 2 SEC Championships is not the stuff of legends IMO. We were not LSU circa 1995 when we got here, no matter how much people like to bring that era up in comparison.

Saban really set us up nicely before he left. Kudos to him for that.

You mean like how Mike Belotti set up Chip Kelly before he left?

Well no shite moron. Point is he is right there. Not like he is being dominated by any one coach and doesn't belong.

You actually typed this out and never realized how ignorant it sounded? Are you thinking out loud again?

LSU has won 7 SEC Titles since 1970 (thats 42 years) and Miles has 2 of them in 8 years, 3 NC's in History (thats 72 years) and Miles has a third of them in 8 seasons. He has 6 of the greatest 10 seasons in the 119 year history of the program based on winning percentage.

You are correct in saying no one knows what another coach would have done with LSU from 2005 until now but a reasonable assumption would be - NO WHERE NEAR AS SUCESSFUL AS MILES - considering no one has in the History of the program (which granted is a small sample size of only 119 years or so). I mean anyone can do it!!
