Yes and isn't ironic that comments by coaches and players say that the D was out of position because State used 4 or 5 wideouts to spread the field and we had fewer around to make missed tackles. Dah, ,Les, that works on both sides. You should try it.

If Les wouldn't listen to anyone, what would you prefer a big LSU supporter and former player like Kevin do, just ignore the situation?

Watching Les run his amateur goal line offense for 3 qtrs was hard on everyones eyes. unless you're a bulldog fan.

Or, maybe he is a diehard LSU Tiger who loves his school, wants to see it stay elite, and hates to see it underperform to the point that it pisses him off and he says some things that he later regrets?

Nah, can't be that.

I think it's in poor taste that a man of his stature publically ridiculed the LSU head football coach. it is not even relevant if he's correct or not.

kinda clears up why he didn't get the OC job. if this is true that is. sounds like he's pretty self absorbed and possible a self entitled a-hole. he certainly has no class (if this is true of course)

As someone stated earlier his Kingsbury comment nullified anything constructive he had to say.

I kind if agree. No matter the truth of it, it's not a good idea to voice this opinion. Especially if you want to coach one day.

are you really trying to say that an 8 time all pro, future hall of famer, doesn't know football because he has never been a coach?

No. Just wondering where he is coaching. With that type of credentials and insight, I figure he would be coaching somewhere.

Just like Deion Sanders that said Mo Claiborne is gonna be great.

Exactly, Kevin should have learned from all those years in the NFL that there are things you say privately, and there are things you can say publicly. He seems to have forgotten that and now he sounds like an idiot.

Perhaps someone should ask Kevin how it is possible that Les and Cam went from having a 3,000 passer, 2 1,000 yard receivers and a 1,000 running back in 2013 to suddenly becoming stuck in the 1950's as far as offense is concerned. Could it be possible that maybe, just maybe, we don't have QB ready to put up Mettenberger like numbers yet?

I don't know, that seems like a pretty good working theory at this point.

You are an idiot. Mawae is brought on sports radio to give his opinion on football. He should be able to say when he thinks LSU did something wrong.

Wish Kevin was hired, with great success over time an LSU boy could have become our next head coach. Too bad Miles has that saved for Cameron if they all don't get fired.
Joe Alleva isn't firing anybody! Not this year. Not next year. Doesn't matter how many games we lose either or how bad things get on offense or defense. It will take a major coup by TAF-LSU Power Brokers and well heeled Alums, combined with the Fan Base boycotting BIG games to force Alleva's hand.

In any case, it wont happen after this season even if we don't win ANY SEC games. (Can you imagine the mindset of LSU fans if that would actually evolve into reality)

Scary thought: Alleva selecting the next football coach.

No, you're the idiot! Well, now that have cleared that little issue up as to who the idiot is here, we can now get back on topic.

Sure, Kevin is entitled to get on the radio and voice his opinion, for whatever it is worth, but that doesn't mean it is a good idea, nor is it constructive to bash the head coach, and by extension, the program. Especially in light of the fact that he was reported to be interested in coaching at LSU. So long as Les is here, I would imagine that is door is closed, again, not smart.

Also, I will still be interested in his take on how Les and Cam went from being able to coach a very potent offense in 2013 to suddenly not knowing how to call plays involving the forward pass. Real curious as to his take on that question.
