Alleva doesn't care. Get it through your head.
He ONLY cares about the bottom line. Whatever happens on the field is irrelevant. Changes are only made when money is at stake.

Having a talent advantage is recruiting which is part of being a coach. Winning with more talent shouldnt be a knock against any coach. Going into this year this is every sec coach vs top 25 teams...
The top coaches in the SEC are obvious, but does their career records against nationally-ranked competition coincide with their reputation?
The usual suspects are out front, a combined career winning percentage of .579 against Top 25 teams from the quartet of Nick Saban, Les Miles, Steve Spurrier and Mark Richt.
From there, the competition dwindles
Looking back at each season as a head coach, here’s how the SEC’s sideline leaders stack up over the length of their respective careers:
Head coach records vs. ranked teams all-time (opponents ranked at time of game)
Nick Saban (Alabama, LSU, Michigan State, Toledo): 56-36; .641
Les Miles (Oklahoma State, LSU): 41-24; .630
Steve Spurrier (Duke, Florida, South Carolina): 65-49-1; .565
Mark Richt (Georgia): 38-35; .520
Kevin Sumlin (Houston, Texas A&M): 11-10; .523
Gus Malzahn (Arkansas State, Auburn): 8-8; .500
Bret Bielema (Wisconsin, Arkansas): 12-26; .315
Hugh Freeze (Ole Miss): 5-11; .312
Gary Pinkel (Toledo, Mizzou): 18-40; .310
Will Muschamp (Florida, now Auburn asst.): 5-13; Jim McElwain (Colorado State): 0-2
Dan Mullen (Mississippi State): 4-25; .137
Butch Jones (Central Michigan, Cincinnati, Tennessee): 1-16; .058
Derek Mason (Vanderbilt): 0-4
Mark Stoops (Kentucky): 0-8
Only six coaches have a winning record against ranked teams since 2007: Saban, Jimbo Fisher, Les Miles, Mark Helfrich, Steve Spurrier, and David Shaw. Helfrich barely counts, as has only one year of experience and took over a program in excellent shape. Shaw also took over a program in great shape, though it's been a few years and he went 6-2 against ranked teams a year ago. Spurrier had to go 5-0 against ranked teams last year to get above .500, so he barely made it. Fisher also needed a spotless record a year ago (3-0) to earn this distinction. Miles had to overcome going 1-8 in these games across 2008-09. Even with Saban, most of his distance above .500 comes from just two seasons: 2009 (5-0) and 2012 (4-1)
Taking out 2011 isnt fair unless take out worst year as well

This is the epitome of underachieving. With the talent that has passed through LSU, I can only conclude that clm has been robbing LSU blind.

Do any of those coaches have the recruiting advantage CLM has?

Other coachsz have been at lsu and not utilized the in state talent...why is that a knock on someone?

What was the idea behind adding the 2007 Arkansas game but only including the last 9 games of 2008 and beyond for the rest?
Posted on 11/15/15 at 9:46 pm to SPEEDY
Les fatigue is at an all time high. I guess it took us getting our arse kicked by a sub par Arkansas program two years in a row to make us all realize it. Those stats are pretty eye opening. Another one that gets me is we have not won a major bowl game since the 2007 title. And only have played in one. We are incredibly average right now. I don't think we will ever bottom out under les so this is pretty much what we can expect as long as he is here. 8-10 wins and a sub par bowl game as long as he is here.

How to do we take your stats seriously!! when Les has won two SEC West titles and Les has beat Alabama more than one time. What other facts or u off on?

While I understand the point you are trying to make, you can't selectively remove the best years if you are going to look at Miles' historical production as a coach. The 2011 team was a team recruited and coached by Miles and should be counted in his favor just as much as 2008 and 2014 should be counted against him.
If we want to argue that the program has taken a step back in the past few years under his tenure, I won't dispute that, but don't manipulate the numbers to make him look worse, because someone else can easily come in and say that the 2 5-loss seasons were anomalies and remove them from the statistics and then everything looks tremendously better. If we are going to objectively look at the state of the program since 2007, then every game of every season needs to be looked at.
