Winning in Jordan Hare and the Swamp is never easy. In fact, there hasn't been a single even-number year since the division format was implemented in the SEC in 1992 where LSU has won both on the road at Auburn and Florida. Not once. I'd love to see that trend bucked this year but I don't think this is the team to do it.

Here is my unbiased prediction for the season:

LSU vs Florida State (W) 34-20
LSU vs Southern (W) 52-13
LSU vs MSU (W) 38-28
LSU vs New Mexico (W) 41-17
LSU @ Auburn (W) 27-21
LSU vs Tennessee (W) 34-31
LSU @ Florida (W) 30-28
LSU vs Ole Miss (W) 38-17
LSU vs Alabama (W) 42-38
LSU @ Arkansas (W) 31-24
LSU vs UAB (W) 38-21
LSU @ Texas A&M (W) 28-24

SEC Championship vs UGA (W) 37-31

CFP Game 1: LSU vs Ohio State (L) 41-38

Come on, man. Don't be crazy. No way Bama scoes 38 on our defense.

Would be awesome but if you think there’s not a chance they can lose to Tennessee who has a heisman candidate qb, florida which will be in the swamp and auburn who may be down this year but lsu always plays terrible on the plains, then I want some of that purple and gold kool-aid you’re drinkin

I dont see any reason why we wont be undefeated heading to Bama

We have more talent than anyone on our schedule

Just need OL, QB, LB, & DB to be good.

After watching Brad Davis interview on culotta, I feel very confident in our OL.
I feel like with just about any of the 3 QBs, we’ll be solid.
LB is talented with a damn good coach/DC. Plus their job is easier with the stout Dline
DBs is talented but not a lot of depth. If Laterance Welch develops into a solid player, he’ll add some much needed depth. Plus the guys we had from last year did pretty damn good against Heisman winner Bryce Young. Just my 2 cents.

Exactly. More likely 4-3 than 7-0

I always caution people to be realistic. Let’s be honest here, by the second week of October 95% of the posters on this board will be miserable because of their own realistic expectations for this team, and it will make The Rant insufferable.

I say try and put some realistic expectations on the team this year. It’s a building block year. Just like Jay Johnson didn’t 180 the baseball team in one year neither will Brian Kelly. As fans we waited 7-8 months for football, just enjoy it. Enjoy the growth you see. Enjoy actually having a competent HC for the first time in a long time. But realize it’s gonna take time.

I think we're looking at 8-4 and I don't think that's a bad thing considering where we were last year and the fact that we're going to be relying heavily on transfers in important positions.

How wild would TS be if both teams were unbeaten going into the game?

It would guarantee CBS picks it up for the afternoon game (only Moo U @ Gumps as a decent alternative). When does ESPN take over the SEC broadcasts?

Anything below 10-2 would be a great disappointment for this season.

I can easily see this team going 11-1.

Normally I would agree, however with this upcoming season it’s certainly possible. UF isn’t bouncing back as quickly as they’d hope with Billy.
Auburn…. In shambles.

Idk man, these are rivalry games with weird outcomes all the time. Can't just pencil in a win over them just because they're down. Even in 2012 the year Auburn went 0-8 in conference and we were a few seconds a way from winning the division in that Bama game, we had to hang on to win by 2 in Jordan Hare.

It's hard to sit here and say we're going to win both those games when beating them both on the road in the same year has literally never happened in the history of LSU football.

4-3 going into Ole Miss would be absolutely horrible. I don’t see us losing 3 of 5 between a down Florida a way down Auburn and an average UT at home and a BAD FSU team in a “home game” in NOLA. Your 4-3 is more far fetched than my 7-0 IMO. Now if you had said 5-2, that would be a better argument.
