Most years, Miles has been successful when everyone thinks his team is done.

2013: After losses to Ole Miss and Bama, fans expected to lose to aTm and Arkansas.

2012: Fans were down after losing to Florida, and most expected a loss to USC and most expected Bama to blow us out.

2010: This was an interesting season. Many fans gave up on the team after struggling three straight weeks against WVU, Tennessee, and Florida.

2009: LSU bounced back after blowing the Ole Miss game.

2008: Did anyone actually expect LSU to give Bama a scare at that time?

You may be right about that. They are very good. Glad we have them home

as long as Bo Wallace is still the QB at Ole Miss, LSU can beat Ole Miss.

I love how all of you just assume that 1) LSU cannot improve and 2) every team that LSU plays will improve and/or not have a bad game against LSU

My thoughts exactly. You can't tell with young kids what will take place. I've been dogging on the team also, but I'm also optimistic about improvement. Some are ready to give up on the whole season!
Let's try to stay positive and continue to support the team. You know they are talented and are working hard to improve. I bet the loss was harder on them than most of us.

The sample is small, but based upon Wisconsin and MSU, I honestly don't believe that (for the first time in years). I'm sorry. In the past we've had great Ds to keep us close enough for the O to pull a good drive or two off. This year, I don't see how we can stop A&M's, Bama's, or Arky's offense (may Ole Miss as well). If CLM is still playing small ball, we could lose all of those games by 2+. 8-4 with a bowl win will be a good down year with a young team.

we could improve but Les is very stubborn. So I don't think any one sees any real changes coming along barring injuries. Les believes in his i-formation, tightends and neighbors. He also loves him some Jordan Jennings. Our d could improve but its been two years and welter is still nothing more than an easy pancake for defenses yet we refuse to remove him from the game. We also have a toughness issue on our dline. They should feel embarrassed about the state game but i don't think that issue solves itself over night. I do think this team could get much better, however it will take putting our qb's in a system that fits them. They are shotgun spread qb's so we need to be doing that. Our oline might be able to do something if we lined up in more 3 wr sets and gave our guys some room to operate and forced nickel backs on the field. The defense is going to be the problem we have a collection of studs but we also are missing key pieces.

fwiw bo has torched two much better defenses already in his career than the one that he will face this season in tiger stadium. He owned our d in 12 and 13. The d being bad is the problem and what makes this year different. Plus it isn't blown coverages like it was early in the year last year. This is getting our guts ripped out by state because they outmanned us
