Now that we know Crowton is coming back, what are the three most important things for LSU to improve on for 2010?

Here is my take:

1. Line Play. I am combining both the D-Line and O-Line into #1. The O-line must get better at all aspects of the game, from run blocking to pass blocking to simply knowing their assignments.

2. QB Play. JJ will be the starter next year, whether we want that or not. With that said, he needs to make quicker decisions. The freshman from Texas, Gilbert, did a great job of this in the Title game. While he made a number of mistakes, he fully understood the value of making quick decisions and for a freshman to play in that situation, I thought he performed well. JJ must improve in this aspect, which includes the ability to see open receivers downfield.

3. Vision - Our RB's must develop better vision. During the 2009 season, there were wayyyyy to many times our RB's would run directly into the pile for little or no gain. While some would say this is the fault of the O-line for not doing their job, the RB's share in this blame for lack of vision.

I could have added clock mgt but decided it's time to move on from that debacle.

i truly agree with all your answers, but the most correct one as funny as it sounds is "swagger". we need this back because sometimes you have to strike fear into your opponent, and we did nothing such

While I don't disagree, I think proper execution leads to swagger. Lack of proper execution, both coaches and players, leads to an entire sideline running around "like a chicken with its head cut off". No disrespect to the CHICKEN.

1. Playing calling- Maybe the OL wasnt great this year. But the play calling didnt try to mask that weakness. Why not have more rollouts, screens, draws instead of 5 step drops and long developing pass plays.

2. Line play- Run blocking was terrible. Pass blocking was bad. DL was horrible all around.

3. QB- QB needs more confidence and not be so afraid of throwing an interception.

I think our coaches have to really "coach". i.e. get in the players faces and motivate them. Texas and Bama sure liked the old LSU from a few years ago.

Why?

What has he done in a game to make people think he will be getting a big load in 2010? He wasnt that good before the injury. Why will he better?

Ridley and Ford will get most of the carries.

The possibility for Spencer Ware to get carries is pretty high.

1) Improved play calling

2) Improved coaching with emphasis on player development

3)A head coach that can think for himself and overturn a play call if he feels it just ain't right

I completely agree, but i believe that with better line play the better rb play will come with it.

1. line play, 2. qb play, 3. clock management

Pressure the QB. I miss a good corner or safety blitz

Creative on offense. Stop trying to make the players fit the system, and fit the system to the talent

JJ needs to loosen up and let it rip. The thing that keeps his turnovers low also limits the offense. He has the talent. Not every receiver is going to have a 5 yard window, he needs to have confidence and go for it.
